No sound comes from the phone when playing a video
There are several reasons that may result in this issue occurring. You can diagnose if there is a hardware issue by going to APP Support , touching Checkup, then choosing to test Earpiece and Speaker. If the receiver or speaker is faulty, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized HONOR Customer Service Center for more professional diagnosis. If no error is detected, perform the following.
1 Check whether your device is connected to an external device, such as a Bluetooth headset
Disconnect your device from any external device, then try again.
2 Check whether the video player is working properly
Play another video to check whether the issue lies with the video player. If the issue persists, reinstall the video player and try again
3 Check the video file format
A video may be muted if the video player does not support the video format. Try playing the video in another video player.
4 Check whether the video file is damaged
Try playing the video on another device. If the video cannot be played on that device, the video file may be damaged.
5 Restart the device
Restart your device to close apps that do not work properly, then try to play the video again.
6 If the issue persists
If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized honor Customer Service Center for assistance.
