After doing the video unboxing of the HONOR Magic 4 Pro, I suggest that we take a look at the video part which is one of the big advantages of this Magic smartphone.

The “normal” mode:

So to start we find a "normal" video mode, which allows you to film like any smartphone, the video support goes from 21:9 in 4K to 16:9 in **, with frequencies of 30 or 60 images per second.

This "normal" mode also has a super night mode which improves shooting when the light is lacking, in this case the resolution will be limited to 16:9 in ** at 24 frames per second.

To finish with this normal mode, it is also possible to use the flash as well as certain color filters.

Now let's move on to the novelty at HONOR, the film mode, it offers 4 modes for filming, the first mode allows you to apply color tints to the film called LUT.
Here is a small video of the rendering of its LUT color effects:

It is also possible to film in Log format, this video format looks quite dull, but is easily reusable and retouchable in video editing software.

You can also use the 4K HDR mode, which then offers ultra-smooth videos of superb quality.

Finally in this “movie” mode, there remains the slow motion mode, it allows the video to be slowed down, we then film, in 16:9, at ** with a frequency of 120 frames per second.

There is one last mode to film with the HONOR Magic 4 Pro, it is the pro mode, in this mode, you will have the possibility to adjust the metering, ISO, shutter speed, exposure compensation, focus, white balance and settings lock.
On its various settings, you can directly apply a LUT effect or even shoot in Log format in order to bring out the light and dark details of the videos and improve their adjustment in post-processing.

HONOR offers a final option which is the efficient video format, which reduces the weight of videos by 35 percent, however they will have to be played on a compatible device, which is not the case for all at present. .
