Screen time:
Allows you to set a screen time limit that can only be extended with the owners’ approval. Phone calls and those apps set as Always Allowed won’t be restricted.
App Limits:
Allows you decide which apps to limit, which to allow.
Away time:
Schedule time away from the device, means no apps could be used, except for phone calls and apps set as Always Allowed. And you could also set up the background as grey during away time.
Content Access Restrictions:
Restrict access to a few websites which is added to the list.
Digital Balance PIN:
When this is enable, every time a user wants to change the settings, a PIN is required.
An image of Digital Balance on HONOR 10X Lite, when time is up, it’s impossible to use the apps again from My Child Account.
If “My Child” account is selected, when the time is up to use one certain app, using the app is impossible as a PIN is required to change the settings. And during away time, it’s also impossible to access the apps on the phone.
While if “Me” is selected as account, when the time is up, you can still select “15 more minutes use” or “unlimited time today”.
How to use Safe and App Lock on the HONOR 10X Lite?
Step one:
Go to settings and scroll down to find “Security”
Step two:
After you press “Security”, on the next page, you could see “App Lock” and “Safe”. Let’s try App Lock for an example. After you press “ENABLE”, you can go ahead and set up “Lock Screen Password” as the password to access the locked apps, or customize a PIN. Personally, I recommend Custom PIN instead.
Step three:
You then will be asked to set a 6-digital password.
Step Four:
On the next page, you can set up a security question. So whenever you forget the password to access the locked app, you can offer the answer to the security question to change the password as needed.
Step Five:
A message will pop up asking if you want to use Fingerprint ID to quickly access App Lock. If you click “OK” then for yourself, senseless access is not a problem, but if the phone is lent to some else, locked app will be restricted.
On this next page, you are able choose which app you want to lock.
On the top right corner, there is a little “settings” icon. From there, you can change password type, change Custom PIN, or change security question. Disable APP Lock is also on that page.
To enable Safe is basically similar. After you click “Safe”, you are asked to set up a password and then security question. Then you can move files, including photos, videos, audios and other kinds of files to the safe. Files moved to the safe is not accessible in the original storage.
After you are in the Safe, on the down right side of the screen, there is a “settings” icon. From there, you can change password, security question, and also destroy safe. If you decide to destroy safe, there are options to destroy all the files inside, or you can move it to the original storage or a different one as you want.
Hope everything is clear. Do leave a comment if you get any questions. Have a great day, guys!
