Over the years HONOR, like, inevitably, all smartphone manufacturers, has adapted the aesthetics - and performance - of its devices.
I would like to propose here a - personal - comparison of the three HONOR smartphones with which I was able to interface for the longest time; mostly in terms of design, given that the specifications clearly improve over the years, therefore deliberately leaving out the construction technologies of the Soc, motherboards etc. etc.
Specifically: HONOR 9 Lite, HONOR 9A and HONOR 50 (strictly in chronological order).
As I said it is a subjective evaluation, but I believe that the discourse can be contextualized in an overall vision in the mobile phone landscape.
The first phone that actually brought me closer to the Shenzen house was, after years spent behind the tops of various brands, as I said above, the HONOR 9Lite. It was the year 2019 when driven by the curiosity to touch the much-vaunted qualities of our brand, I decided to take it (indeed take them ... even 3 ...). It kept me company until a few months ago, never a problem (if not the replacement of the battery under warranty ; only recently began to have slowdowns, but I think it is inevitable ....
During the months of using the HONOR9Lite I had the opportunity to test the 9A, a phone conceived in a hurry during the well-known US ban; aesthetically not bad, entry-level technical features, but a drawback: no Google services! Even today I use it occasionally as a forklift demonstrating the reliability of HONOR, and constantly receiving safety updates!
Last, for now, the HONOR 50 for which I would like to spend three words that contain, in a sort of perfect Bignami, the qualities of the device: WOW, WOW, WOW.
Evolution
Returning to the bomb, over the years the display increases its size (inversely proportional to my diopters, which instead decrease), increases the internal storage capacity, increases the Ram, you lose the ability to store in an external SD, the fingerprint reader changes its appearance and turns into a reader under the display https://www.hihonor.com/global/club/topicdetail/honor-50-span-stylecolor57cbfffingerprintspan-span/topicId-114870/
The obsessive pursuit of perfection has led to the assembly of the 50 with a curved display; the visual, tactile and qualitative effect is surprising https://www.hihonor.com/global/club/topicdetail/honor-50-span-stylecolor57cbffamazingspan-span/topicId-117273/
Much broader speech related to cameras and chargers.
For the first, the steps forward are enormous; even in the 50 we get to 108 MP of the main sensor, modules are added, and we try more and more to work on aesthetics in order to stand out in the increasingly saturated panorama of mobile phones. In the case of the 50, the results of this study are there for all to see; the aesthetics of the cameras are unique.
The chargers increase their size (perhaps too much ...) and the recharge capacity, reaching up to 66 watts in the 50 (which recharges in record time); even the cable that must support higher current intensities increases in section and the socket to be connected to the phone changes to type "C" which is currently the mandatory standard.
Obviously, the brand written at the bottom of the charger also changes, in the last arrived we read a good luck HONOR.
What do you think of the comparison? Would you have included other peculiarities that have changed over the years?
