Recently, I had the opportunity to get started with the HONOR Magic Book 16 Pro Ryzen Edition notebook that HONOR just released.

I didn’t expect that the experience really met my requirements for the notebook. Let’s take everyone to take a look at this notebook.

01. 144Hz ideal screen for e-sports, extraordinary visual experience

First of all, in terms of appearance , I still like the appearance design of the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ruilong version. The all-metal machine body of aluminum alloy, with starry sky gray color, the shape of the wave waistline of the whole machine, and the slightly upward side. The edge curvature gives a special tension and vitality.

In terms of portability, the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition is also very satisfactory. The size of the whole machine is 368mm × 236mm × 18.2mm, and the thinnest part is only 18.2mm. The weight of the whole machine is only 1.84kg for the integrated display version and 1.87 for the standalone version. kg, this weight allows me to easily move and work, even if I commute every day, it is not tiring.

For me, I am most satisfied with this screen on the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition. The 16.1-inch large screen size, the left and right frame width is only 5.1mm, the ultra-high screen-to-body ratio of 87.3%, and the resolution is 1920. *1080, support 144Hz high refresh rate, 100% sRGB wide color gamut, up to 1000:1 contrast ratio, maximum brightness of 300 nits, 10.35ms game-level grayscale response, whether it is for working video clips, PS photos, or Play high-definition video or passionate games in your free time, and you can get a super cool visual experience.

It’s important to mention here. Yes, this 144Hz high refresh screen of the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition, combined with the game-level grayscale response speed of 10.35ms, makes the game experience a real improvement compared to the general 60Hz refresh rate screen. It's not just a little bit, especially in FPS games, the feeling is very obvious. After using it, it really feels like you can't go back.

When it comes to the screen, everyone will definitely think of its audio and video experience. The HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition is equipped with a set of 2W array speakers, which can virtualize 5.1 or 7.1 channel output, with Nahimic's game-level sound effects and smart mode. It really made me have an unexpected surprise, whether it is game sound effects or video sound effects, it can bring immersive listening effects.

The full-size backlit keyboard of the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition, the keystroke and feedback are all tuned to the satisfaction, and the wide keycap brings a very comfortable typing experience. 

I sit in the office and code all the words all afternoon. I won’t feel tired; and the design of this large-area touchpad to prevent accidental touch is very commendable, which reduces the chance of accidental touch a lot and greatly improves the efficiency of my work.

In terms of interfaces, the HONOR MagicBook 16Pro Ryzen Edition is equipped with 2 USB-C 3.2 Gen1 ports, 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports, 1 3.5mm headphone port, and 1 HDMI 2.0 port. The ports are extremely rich. It is completely sufficient for daily data transmission, mouse connection, and equipment expansion. I especially want to praise the HDMI 2.0 interface it is equipped with, it is simply my favorite. 

When traveling on business to customers or reporting PPT to the leader, it can be used directly by plugging it in. It is really very good. convenient.

There is another configuration on the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ruilong version that I really love, that is its power and fingerprint integration. This is the result of the in-depth optimization of the HONOR technical team on the BIOS. It can be turned on quickly with just one click. Log in, no need to enter a password or scan your fingerprint. 

Moreover, this fingerprint recognition module is said to have the ability of self-learning, and it will gradually adapt to the user's fingerprints, and the more you use it, the easier it is to use.

The charger of the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition is also a surprise. It is equipped with a 135W portable fast charge. The design of the USB-C port can not only charge the notebook, but also charge mobile phones, tablets and other devices. Such a charging head is completely enough.

02. Super heat dissipation, powerful configuration, bring full blood performance output

Of course, in addition to the appearance, I also have to "run" for my laptop requirements, because in addition to editing videos, PS pictures, etc., I can relax by playing games when I am free. The computer performance is not enough, how to play!

However, after looking at the configuration of HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition, I am quite confident. It is equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor, 16GB DDR4 dual-channel large memory, 512GB high-performance PCIe NVMe SSD high-speed solid-state hard drive, NVIDIA RTX The 3050 optical chase alone is significant, and the configuration can be said to be powerful enough.

Whether this configuration can meet my needs, the easiest way is to test a wave of roasting machines.

The first is to use the national testing software Master Lu to conduct a comprehensive performance test. You can see that the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ruilong Edition can easily run a high score of 526,354 points on Master Lu. For a thin and light notebook, I think this score is still pretty good.

Using AIDA64 for single baking machine test, it can be seen from the results that during the 40-minute baking machine, the power consumption of the CPU reached 52.88W. It is said that the upper limit of the CPU power consumption can be increased to 65W. It seems that the 40-minute AIDA64 baking machine The full performance of this CUP has not yet been fully squeezed out.

Using Furmark 1.26.0 to test the extreme copy of the graphics card, during the 40-minute copying process, the highest temperature of the GPU of the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition did not exceed 65°C.

After using AIDA64 and Furmark 1.26.0 for a dual baking machine for 15 minutes, it can be seen that the power consumption of the CPU is less than 35W, and the average temperature of the GPU is only 79°C.

During the baking process, I also monitored the temperature of the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ruilong version of the fuselage, and found that the highest temperature position of the fuselage is the CUP position in the upper middle of its keyboard. The highest temperature is only 55°C. It can be seen that its gaming-level intelligent cooling system performs very well, after all, it is impossible for us to use computers to run at full load for a long time.

From the above test, we can see that the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition has such a powerful performance and super powerful cooling system, whether it is to deal with my work video editing, PS pictures, or playing games after work! Don't worry about insufficient performance at all.

In addition, I also tested the battery life of the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition. The 56Wh large-capacity battery can continuously play local ** videos for up to 8 hours when fully charged. This battery life time, whether you bring it to class and study 、I can easily use it for a day when I face customers on business trips, and I feel at ease with it when I go out.

03. Smart interconnection improves office efficiency

The appearance and performance are all available, and I still have one more requirement for the notebook, which is the issue of "easy to use".

The multi-screen collaboration function on the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen Edition is one of my favorite features. Use the HONOR phone to touch its touchpad to establish a multi-screen collaboration connection. 

After the connection is completed, the computer will be I can perform various operations on the mobile phone, and I feel that it has greatly improved my usual office efficiency.

The documents and pictures between the mobile phone and the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ryzen are transferred to each other, no complicated operations are required, and the files can be moved directly by dragging and dropping with the mouse, which is very simple and fast. 

For example, some photos on my mobile phone want to be poured into the PS on the computer. Usually, I need to use a data cable or other software to upload the image and save it. It is more cumbersome, but now it can be done by simply dragging it with the mouse left and right.

Another situation is that my mobile phone receives a manuscript sent by a colleague that needs to be revised immediately. I can directly use the mouse of the HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro Ruilong Edition to open the document on the mobile phone, and use the computer mouse and keyboard to edit and edit after saving the document, or directly saving it on the phone, I can immediately resend it to my colleagues via the phone.
