It has been around a year now when HONOR got separated from Huawei and since then it has been a rising brand wherever it has stepped up especially in its homeland China. As per the data provided from research firm Canalys, HONOR is now the third-largest smartphone maker in China, placing itself ahead of Apple, Xiaomi, and even Huawei.
HONOR has shipped 14.2 million devices in Q3 2021, a 25% year-over-year increase and a 105% increase over the previous quarter. With this now the company is now holding an 18% market share in China. The research firm highlighted HONOR's mid-range success with the Play 20 and X20 along with the flagship HONOR 50 series.
As it can be clearly seen, the two sub-brand of BBK Electronics are leading the Chinese Smartphone Market in Q3 2021 followed by HONOR as the third largest brand in terms of shipments.
