HONOR Magic V - China Launch Event Recap

Howdy HONOR Friends,

In December 2016, HONOR released the first generation of Magic, followed by Magic 2, then Magic3 Series in 2021 which was the HONOR’s first ultra-premium flagship model as an entrepreneurial company. Around 6 months after the launch of the HONOR Magic3 Series, we are so glad to have the chance to introduce our first folding flagship phone in 2022, HONOR Magic V!

As the first folding flagship phone in 2022, HONOR Magic V debuted today with new breakthroughs in the industry along with a powerful new Magic UI 6.0

Magic UI 6.0 - Introduction

The first introduction of the event is Magic UI 6.0 which is continuing to dream of 2016 Magic Live :

Magic UI 6.0 is a smart system with core capabilities such as active service, personalized OS and cross-device collaboration, and the evolution of the Magic engine.

It provides a full range of intimate functions for business people such as if you are close to the subway station, Magic live function will recommend the appropriate ride code; close to the express cabinet, will recommend the pickup code

based on the leading high-precision geofencing technology, it can also achieve more timely and accurate scene perception services in all scenarios.

Introducing HONOR Magic V

The HONOR Magic V outer screen adopts a 6.45-inch screen, has a 21:9 ratio, the screen ratio is as high as 90%,

The unfolded bezel is only 2.3 mm with a 120Hz refresh rate and the 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.  The inner screen has a wide field of view of 7.9 inches, an aspect ratio of 10:9, and two 21:9 screens after the left and right split screens which can easily cope with multi-task scenarios.

Using a new generation of nano optical film with ultra-low screen reflectivity, The long-term use or in the extreme scenario can have an immersive look and feel.

George dropped the Magic V at the press conference. ( Guess what? Nothing happened  ) The HONOR Magic V outer screen uses a nano-microcrystalline curved glass panel, Anti-fall performance increased by five times and the quality between the inner and outer screen is very high.

The outer screen size is 6.45 inches, the pixel density reaches 431ppi and the screen ratio is as high as 90%. Comparison with friends:

The Inner screen when unfolded feels like a High-end tablet. HONOR Magic V is better in both screen aspect ratio and screen ratio which undoubtedly allows users to get the same experience as mainstream flagships when using Magic V external screen.

Making the folding hinge thin is a technology and art.

HONOR Magic V is the first mobile phone that supports CC EAL5+ level independent security memory chip which can provide all-round and thoughtful protection of users' data

If accidentally lost/stolen, even after the violent flashing of the device needs password authentication. Even Dismantling the ROM memory chip can not decrypt the data inside and lost mode can help retrieve the phone.
