Green product

We adhere to green design reduce resource consumption, extend the life cycle of products, bring consumers the ultimate technology experience, and are committed to reducing the impact on the earth.

Greener packaging

In 2021, we optimized our product packaging to reduce CO2 emission by approximately 285 tons .

Glory adheres to the packaging design concept of lightweight, miniaturization, harmlessness, easy recycling, and environmental friendliness, and is committed to reducing the consumption of resources.

We have realized a simpler and stronger integrated origami solution on the packaging of notebook products. From 2021 onwards, we have eliminated the use of middle boxes during transportation, reducing a cumulative 208 tons of CO 2 emissions. For PC and wearable products, we have saved about 74 tons of paper usage by optimizing the content structure and normalizing the printed parts of the products, which is equivalent to reducing CO 2 emissions by 77 tons.

The color box packaging and product instructions of our products are all printed with soybean ink, which not only reduces the harm to human health and the dependence on petroleum resources, but also facilitates the recycling of packaging materials. Since 2014, Honor has used soybean ink to print, which is equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions by about 80 tons compared to traditional ink printing .

More durable product

The longer the product is used, the less resources are consumed. In China, the replacement cycle of Honor phones is 26.4 months, which is higher than the average replacement time.

Durability is one of the important criteria for the design of Honor products. We perform reliability tests of complete machines and components and extend product life through comprehensive life assessments.

We have created a professional reliability laboratory to simulate usage scenarios of various products, perform reliability tests of the entire machine and components, and extend the life of products through a comprehensive life assessment. We considered the flex scene in the Magic V foldable mobile phone and formulated strict flex duration requirements; on the display cover, we have developed and used super-ceramic glass, which has greatly improved the anti-drop ability and minimized the replacement of parts to ensure that users can use the product for a longer time.

Responsible management of electronic waste

In 2021, we collected and processed approximately 1,733 tons of electronic waste through our channels.

Our products are designed with ecological design in mind from the very beginning of design, from raw material selection to waste recycling, to control the entire product life cycle and do our best to reduce the impact and damage l 'environment. Through the trade-in service, Honor will deliver used cell phones to qualified professional recyclers for environmental protection. At the moment, Honor's official recycling channels include online and offline. Users can go to service stores or Honor Mall to estimate and place orders. Eligible devices can take advantage of trade-in services. Users can deduct all 3C digital products of any brand that are idle in their hands, such as mobile phones, PCs and tablets, and exchange them for new Honor products. Honor provides comprehensive recycling services such as used phone appraisal, free SF Express door-to-door pickup (for orders placed in the mall), professional quality inspection and privacy clearance.

Based on compliance with international standards, we have formulated higher corporate standards since 2016 we have reduced the use of approximately 3,379 tons of harmful substances.

HONOR has formulated higher corporate standards based on compliance with international standards. We actively eliminate potentially harmful substances present in products such as cell phones and tablets: chlorine, brominated flame retardants, PVC, beryllium and its compounds, phthalates, Sb 2 O 3. At the same time, we tested dozens of different material formulations with multiple material suppliers and obtained halogen-free power cables for all Honor phones and tablets. Since 2016, we have reduced the use of approximately 3,379 tonnes of hazardous substances and materials.

At present, we have accumulated 76 Honor brand mobile phones and tablets which have obtained China Quality Certification Center (CQC) environmental protection grade A certification, 2 products have obtained China Environmental Label ten-ring certification, and 1 the product obtained the certificate issued by Leaf of Life from the Russian Ecology Union Environmental Protection Association.

Green park

Glory is committed to providing employees with an environmentally friendly and environmentally friendly office environment and integrates green and environmental protection into all aspects of office location selection, interior decoration, choice of office furniture and daily operations. At the same time, we are also actively exploring to increase use of clean energy and continue to reduce the park's carbon emissions.

We have strict environmental protection standards for the selection of office furniture, which require the use of E0 grade environmental protection materials. Before the office is put into use, a professional third party company will be invited to conduct air treatment and environmental tests and it can only be put into use after passing the air quality test.

We incorporated energy saving requirements into the design and construction at the beginning of the park planning. For example, we have built advanced building automation systems, chiller group control systems, air compressor group control systems, energy management systems and other energy management and monitoring systems in the industrial park. of Glory Pingshan's intelligent manufacturing to achieve efficient operation of various equipment and facilities.

In the process of daily operation, we actively perform energy saving and consumption reduction, continuously optimize plant operation and management and reduce energy consumption by establishing energy accounts, monitoring and analyzing energy consumption data.
