After an experience of 42 days of incessant use and without hesitation (also used in situations where it would be better not to do it, but let's not tell this to anyone ...
), I feel I can risk a broader and more subjective judgment as possible on the new HONOR Earbuds 3 Pro headphones.
I begin by saying that I feel privileged, as the wonderful coloring (Gray polished to a mirror) that I possess is now - almost - unobtainable; they went like hot cakes and in the HiHonor Store they are starting to run out even in the white version.
Brief summary of the previous episodes.
Very brief signs of the first impressions I had when using the 3 Pro.
We obviously start with an Unboxing (LINK), which can help to understand what we will find inside the package after receiving them.
It immediately catches the eye even before using them, the objective quality that is perceived to the touch, every finish is treated both as regards the headphones and the case: finally we have returned to the "click closing" of the first Earbuds, index of robustness, making a risky automotive comparison you have the same feeling that you get when closing a door of a Volkswagen or an Audi
.
I was amazed by the possibility of being able to carry out a fit test in the AI version, in the sense that it is directly the smartphone that, interfacing with the headphones and simulating sounds and noises, tells us if we are using the right size rubber pads and if we position the headphones inside the auricles correctly. (LINK)
A feature that was hoped to be introduced is the volume control directly from the headphones, and also in this, the Shenzhen house has fulfilled our wishes (LINK). Do you want to put the convenience of isolating yourself from everything and everyone in certain situations, turning up the volume to the maximum without having to take the phone in hand? Priceless!
Pair two devices at the same time
now it is possible! It will be the player itself that will automatically switch the audio source according to our commands (LINK)
But at the audio level?
We come to what they are designed for: emitting sounds (as well as canceling them given the Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation that automatically recognizes the scenario and intelligently adjusts the ANC mode).
Audiophile purists will twist their mouths but, according to my tastes, the equalizer calibration is perfect, low sounds are prediliated and, to a lesser extent, mids, at the slightest expense of highs. A scenario that I try to recreate with any audio device and that I find here by default, without having to set anything.
Obviously, for those who have different audiophile needs, they can make up for it with a third-party equalizer, but I can guarantee you that even if the bass is pronounced they are never intrusive or annoying. From this point of view, the 11mm dynamic speaker with a ceramic piezoelectric tweeter does an exemplary job giving us sonic details worthy of an audio room.
The ANC, as I mentioned, works very well and offers us different scenarios based on the place where we are if it is noisier or not. In Ultra mode, the headphones filter out up to 46 decibels of background noise, according to Honor.
In just ten minutes, the charge level rises from zero to about 65 percent, and with just five minutes of charging, listening time rises to about two hours.
By carrying out tests together with @Zane_88 (who said rudimentary
?!?) We were able to verify that they also work as a remote microphone to carry out Vlogs (as well as the Earbuds 2 Lite).
In Call
reception is excellent, no lag, improved latency, zero metallic voice effect.
Negative sides
As I write I hold them in my hand and try to find them, but in vain.
Perhaps the only one is a slightly lower autonomy than the 2 Lite, but the purity of sound and patience benefit from it, you will do a few more recharges. If we really want to be picky, every now and then we have to remove small fingerprints being shiny, but maybe I'm a bit of a maniac ...
For those who want advice on TWS HONOR headphones, you can easily ask; I have some
