Sleep Monitor is the censor which records the sleeping way and shows the health related statistical information related to the sleep of a person.
HOW IT WORKS?
Honor bands are equipped with the TruSleep monitoring technology which extracts normal sinus rhythm and respiratory signals from heart signals and uses the Hilbert-Huang Transform technology to analyse the coherence of these signals and their cross spectrol power for cardiopulmonary coupling analysis.
This allows for measuring the accurate various stages of sleep which includes deep sleep, light sleep, REM sleep and waking.
WHAT IS NREM and REM?
NREM is non rapid eye movement and REM is rapid eye movement.
NREM is sleep includes light sleep and deep sleep whereas REM is associated with the dreaming.
HOW TO ACTIVATE SLEEP MONITOR?
1. Connect your Honor Band 6 with your phone through Bluetooth. Make sure you've donwloaded Health App.
2. Activation done.
3. NOW, Wear the * and go to sleep. It will automatically record all the data and stops working when you wake up.
WHERE TO FIND SLEEP MONITORING OPTION IN HONOR BAND 6?
1. Click the power button to see the options.
2. Click the Sleep option.
3. It will show you all the data.
READ THE STATS IN HUAWEI HEALTH APP.
Open the Health app and click on the Sleep Data. You can see the detailed stats which Honor band 6 recorded while you're on sleep.
According to the stats, HONOR BAND 6 recorded my sleep for 6 hours. As I went to sleep at 2:45 Am which is obviously not a usual time to go to bed and same has been recommended by the Honor band 6.
Hence, according to the total sleep I took, HONOR Band 6 suggested me to go to bed at earliest 10PM and wake up by 6AM,which could improve my sleep quality.
As you can see in the above picture that it showing all the statistics in real terms of deep sleep, light sleep, REM sleep means rapid eye movement and awake. That's why, HONOR Band 6 is recommending me to take a good sleep for 8 hours so that the amount of light sleep and REM levels would get decrease.
Most importantly it is also showing that-
1. Time of going to bed.
2. Awake/Rise time
3. Graph depicting the type of sleep I had during the time interval.
4. The relevant suggestion.
Health App recommends that a normal person should take a 8 hours of sleep everyday. That's why in the suggestion part Honor band 6 and Health App collectively has suggested me to listen to soft music to reduce my stress level before going to bed.
If there would be humidity in your room, it would ask you to lower the temperature of your room to improve the sleep quality accordingly. Hence, the Band 6 and App will provide suggestions according to the external factors as well.
Next, if you can see in this image there is a pie chart which HUAWEI health App made automatically to show the details that HONOR BAND 6 recorded to make it understand in a more easier way.
According to the sleep I had and the HONOR BAND 6 recorded, heath app is showing the data and the points which are mandatory need to declare a person having a good sleep. Like the Deep sleep level, light sleep, REM sleep, breathing quality etc
HONOR BAND 6 has such a great and innovative TruSleep technology that it can never be wrong in recording and stating the results with the calculated Time duration.
I took a nap and that was also recorded by HONOR BAND 6 and the duration has been shown in Health App.
Hence, After calculating All day, Huawei Health showed me the total duration for which I had slept and made a relevant suggestion to make it better.
I would suggest everyone whenever you feel ill or tired or even when not, take a 1 week challenge with HONOR BAND 6 & Health App so that you can see the 1 week data and stats that if you're having enough and good amount of sleep or not and How you can improve it to make your health and feel better.
I am really impressed with the Sleep monitoring feature and wearing everyday whenever I sleep to see my health and sleep stats and also following the relevant suggestions.
