After a year gap HONOR has finally made its comeback in the Budget segment ( Smartphones between Rs 12000 - 5000 INR), and this time it is HONOR 9A and HONOR 9S that are playing HONOR's bid in the budget segment. In this post, we will be focusing on the HONOR 9A as I have been selected for its Early Access Program.

The device launched today in an Online Event and is priced at Rs.6,499 BUT in its First Sale, it will be available Rs. 5,999 INR and will be available exclusively on Indian E-Comm giant Flipkart. So, let's have a quick specification of the device:

HONOR 9S comes with Android 10 and Magic UI 3.1 out of the box and it is the first time that any HONOR device has come up with Magic UI in this segment as earlier only flagship devices used to have it. The device is powered by Mediatek Helio P22 processor, now many of the people are saying that it is an old processor, but let me tell you something even the recently launched Samsung Galaxy M01S also has the same processor and is actually priced higher than HONOR 9A.

Camera without Negligible Camera Bump

HONOR 9S has an 8MP rear camera, and normally we get camera bumps these days in all of our phones but this time both HONOR 9A & 9S have got cameras with negligible camera bump, which helps in protecting camera lenses from getting scratched. Well, it also has a 5MP selfie camera which also helps in unlocking the phone when Face Unlock is enabled, YES you read it right this phone has got Face Unlock too. Though, I don't have many expectations from the camera but would really like to shoot some photos and share over here.

Well, all together it is a good device for Rs.5,999 as it is light in weight, has a competitive processor in this price range, latest Android version with the latest Magic UI, moreover has 3.5mm Headphone Jack too and is powered by some of the cool features like default Dark Mode.
