Going beyond conventional colours, the Frost Crystal colour is inspired by snow crystals, creating a dreamy diamond-like finish that glimmers and sparkles from different angles.

As Yuan Ze, Chief Designer at HONOR, said at WGSN Panel Discussion, “Firstly, we collect photos, build up rendering and create a mood board that can be described what might appeal to our target user group. After confirming the colour and the rendering, these materials were passed to a serious of workshop and tons of models and mock-ups were created for us to find the most suitable one.”

“Leveraging an innovative design technique, the HONOR 50 underwent an extremely complex dual-filming, dual-texture and dual-coating processing procedure as part of the manufacturing process, to create a sophisticated texture,” continued Yuan Ze. The dual-filming creates a better depth of field effect in the plane, the dual-coating presents a better texture, and the dual-texture brings richer texture details. And in this way, the Frost Crystal colourway was born eventually.
