After discovering what we find inside the HONOR 50 package, let's go through those procedures for which many of us, myself in the first place, would never change phones.
SWITCHING ON THE DEVICE
At the first start we are asked for the language we prefer and the country in which we are going to use the device.
Once this is done, we are asked to enter the sim, here the tool provided by HONOR comes to meet us. A slight pressure, the trolley is extracted and we go to put our operator's Sim (now in nano format).
The operator configuration is immediate, a pop up message arrives, we accept and it is ready for calls and navigation.
Now we find our wifi network (highly recommended during the first configuration both for the speed and for the amount of data we are going to exchange).
Immediately a first very heavy update that includes the security patches of May 2022
DATA IMPORT
Now comes the tiring part! We now have everything on our smartphone, bank data, our digital identity, emails, telephone numbers .... and so on.
Fortunately technology, if on the one hand it makes our life difficult, on the other it helps us. I proceed like this, I back up from the google account as regards contacts, emails, synchronization of calendars and everything we have stored on the servers of the Mountain View company; I download the Apps from scratch from the Play Store and import everything else via Device Clone.
The operation itself is very simple. You open the App, already pre-installed in the HONOR devices first on the new phone and then on the old one (where a QR code is generated to be framed); you choose which data to import (in my case photos, music, settings, sms) you expect the devices to communicate with each other and get comfortable.
Depending on the size it will take about half an hour .... At the end of the process the new device has the same functions we had in the old one (the only flaw the photos do not keep the chronology .....)
How do you proceed when you change phones?
