HONOR 50: for those looking for a bold and extravagant style
Following the trends of contemporary fashion, Honor's new smartphone aims to seduce the consumer with an original and extravagant look
If the smartphone has become an everyday object that tends to be taken for granted with the risk of appearing homologated and impersonal, HONOR instead aims to give it back a blazon of style. In fact, the new HONOR 50 stands out for an original look that intentionally wants to get noticed.
Following the trends borrowed from fashion, the Shenzhen-based company wanted to interpret the indications of Tech Couture by creating a product rich in technological content but characterized above all by a design capable of responding to the needs of consumers who want to distinguish themselves from conventions.
According to a recent survey by WGSN, an agency expert in market analysis mainly related to fashion and design, the most selective consumers are increasingly looking for an "Everyday Extravagance" experience with the aim of escaping the ordinary and looking with optimism at the future.
"Hungry for products and experiences that bring extravagance to everyday life, consumers are moving away from the" neutral "sensations that comforted them during periods of global lockdown, to increasingly aim for bright colors and patterns that fuel the themes of euphoria unrepentant and radical self-expression, ”says Sarah Housley of WGSN. "An expressive design language addresses the problem of homogeneity of style in the technological space, making technology feel more personal and representative of our identities".
Employing this perspective, HONOR has created a version of its new smartphone using the stylistic code of monograms, a well-known solution in the world of fashion. The HONOR Code version of the HONOR 50 in fact incorporates the company logo which is repeated with an elegant monogram design on the back of the phone, embellished with iridescent light effects.
“HONOR 50 breaks down the five letters and reconstructs them to create a new and holistic image sequence that conveys an energetic and vibrant visual effect,” says Yuan Ze, Chief Designer of HONOR. "This eye-catching design is unique to the smartphone industry, inspired by the latest fashion trends and which marks a step forward from the classic blacks and softer tones offered by other smartphone brands."
HONOR 50 not only expresses an element of originality with style, but also allows you to bring out your own style by offering users all the tools to create quality content. Precisely this long period of limitations has prompted many people to find new ways to tell about themselves, to share their experiences and passions with other people and the smartphone has become the most used tool for producing videos and photos.
For this reason, HONOR 50 is equipped with an advanced photographic department, which allows users to switch between the front and rear cameras while shooting, increasing creative possibilities and offering the same one-take recording technique adopted by the film industry. A valuable resource especially for first-person stories, the so-called v-logging.
The Chinese company's phone has a versatile 108 megapixel main camera, flanked by three other rear cameras and a 32 megapixel front camera, with the ability to capture video in 4K. All content can be reviewed by making the most of the brilliant 6.57-inch display capable of displaying more than a billion colors.
The smartphone is available on HiHonor, Amazon and at the stores of the main operators Tim, Vodafone and Wind 3. The device can also be purchased on the online sales platforms of the main retail chains Unieuro and Mediaworld where the flagship will be available shortly.
