[GUIDE] How to connect 2 routers together so that they are in one network.
It often happens that you want to extend your network coverage and want another router for your current router.
This can be done in 2 ways, wired and wireless. Today I will describe the wired method.
Before we go to the configuration, you need to find out what is the access address to your main router.
For Huawei 192.168.3.1, TP-Link 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, NETGEAR 192.168.0.1, the next thing is to make sure what the main router has the scope of the DHCP server responsible for automatic addressing of devices connected to the network. You can check it in network settings (Network) -> LAN. Make a note of the first free address in my case, 192.168.3.2
The next step is to configure the second router. Connect your second one, preferably wired and log in to the configuration panel of the network settings (Network) -> LAN you will change the address to the first free one in my case 192.168.3.2 and turn off the DHCP server.
Then save the settings.
Another thing you have to do is connect both routers with a network cable. Remember LAN ports - LAN, not LAN -> WAN
After connection, the second router will act as a switch with AP. You can configure it from the previously set address.
