Hi,
Today a photo of Fort du Guesclin located on the island of the same name.(St Malo, Brittany, France)
The first stones were laid in 1026 by a member of the family of the famous "future" Bertrand du Guesclin and between 1757 to 1759 the old building was demolished and Vauban had a fort built there including a barracks with a powder magazine and platforms for cannons to protect the coast from the English.
This fort was owned by singer Léo Ferré (french singer) who lived there between 1959 and 1968.
It can be visited from time to time thanks to the association "les Amis de l'ile du Guesclin"
