  HONOR 9A rotate with Huawei Mobile services and thus with the AppGallery. Many of you have asked us questions about the AppGallery, that's why today, we offer a FAQ on the theme of the AppGallery  

• How do I download apps from AppGallery?

Nothing's easier. Just open AppGallery on your phone, search for an app, and click "Install."

If no apps are available, you can download the Petal Search app, which lets you find apps from third-party app stores.

• What are the options if the application I am looking for is not available on AppGallery?

If the app you are looking for is not available in AppGallery, you can search for it on Petal Search. 

Petal Search is the official app developed by Huawei to find, download and install apps that are not available in AppGallery from alternative websites. 

Applications installed via Petal Search will be eligible for updates.

• Will apps installed through Petal Search receive updates?

Yes. Petal Search has a dedicated section to take care of updating the application. Go to Petal Search> Me> Downloads> Updates

• Will I receive Android updates?

Yes. Phones with AppGallery rely on AOSP (Open Source version of Android) and benefit from Android upgrades and security updates.

• Will I receive security updates?

Yes. Phones with AppGallery rely on AOSP (Open Source version of Android) and benefit from Android upgrades and security updates.

• Is Facebook available?

Facebook can be installed from AppGallery via a download link.

• Is Snapchat available?

Yes, Snapchat is available on AppGallery

• Is TikTok available?

Yes, TikTok is available on AppGallery

• Is Whatsapp available?

Whatsapp can be installed from AppGallery via a download link.

• Is the Telegram available?

Yes, Telegram is available on AppGallery

• Is Instagram available?

Instagram is not yet available on AppGallery but can be easily installed from Petal Search. Once installed from Petal Search, you will still be able to receive app updates.

• Is Twitter available?

Twitter is not yet available in AppGallery but can be easily installed from Petal Search. Once installed from Petal Search, you will still be able to receive app updates.

• Is Netflix available?

Netflix is not yet available in AppGallery but can be easily installed from Petal Search. Once installed from Petal Search, you will still be able to receive app updates.

• Is Disney + available?

Unfortunately, Disney + is not available on AppGallery and cannot work without Huawei Mobile Services.

• Is Deezer available?

Yes, Deezer is available on AppGallery

• Is Spotify available?

Spotify is not yet available in AppGallery but can be easily installed from Petal Search. Once installed from Petal Search, you will still be able to receive app updates.

• Is Uber available?

"Although the Uber app is not available on AppGallery, you have 2 solutions:

1. Use the application in your web browser

2. Use the QuickApp "Uber" in AppGallery. Quick App lets you create quick access to the web version of Uber. "

• Is Tinder available?

Yes, Tinder is available on AppGallery

• Is Google Maps available?

Google Maps is not available on AppGallery and will not work properly if you install it from Petal Search.

However, you can use it without problems in your web browser.

• Is Gmail available?

Although the Gmail application is not available in AppGallery, you can configure your Gmail account (or any other email account) in the Email application preinstalled on your HONOR phone.

• Is Airbnb available?

Although the Airbnb application is not available in AppGallery, you have 2 solutions:

1. Use the application in your web browser

2. Use the QuickApp "Airbnb" in AppGallery. Quick App allows you to create quick access to the web version of Airbnb.

• Are banking applications available?

Banking apps are currently not available in AppGallery or Petal Search.

However, you can access your banking services without problems from your web browser. 

• Can PhoneClone be used from HMS to HMS phones?

Yes

• Can PhoneClone be used from GMS to HMS phones?

Yes. However, some applications cannot be transferred.
