Hey HONOR Fans,
HONOR launched its newest HONOR 30 Series with Magic UI 3.1 (identical to EMUI 10.1) So you might see most of the features of EMUI 10.1 in Magic UI 3.1.
We are going to focus what seems to be the major changes in the all new EMUI 10.1 Version and will try to explore those as much as possible.
As of right now I don't have any device with EMUI 10.1 installed so I will try to gather as much information about EMUI 10.1 as I can, so you might get a rough idea about what to expect with EMUI 10.1
1. Golden Snap:
This is probably the coolest and my favorite feature of EMUI 10.1, by using the Golden Snap feature you can remove the nearby character/people.
Let's have a look:
Step 1-Capture Image
Step 2–Click on Edit image icon and then select “Remove Passersby”
Here is the Video Demonstration of the whole process:
Isn't that magical? Now you don't have to worry about people ruining your Perfect Picture
2.Mobile Office Multi-screen Collaboration:
Huawei EMUI 10.1 brings a new way of sharing and collaboration, all you need is just tap the Huawei Share button/icon from the navigation as shown in the image below.
▶ Send large file in seconds.
▶ No compression and no data consumption.
▶ It supports a notification center in the corner of the device.
▶ With a simple tap, smartphones and computers converge instantly
▶ Drag and drop text instantly.
▶ Open photo directly with computer program
▶ Talk with your friend on a computer or seamlessly switch a call to your smartphone.
▶ Your phone call now collaborate with your MatePad
▶ Touch to share Music, Wi-Fi, Entertainment & more.
3. MeeTime High-Quality Communication:
If you fancy Google Duo or Apple's Facetime but love Huawei handsets, you are in for a treat as Huawei has just launched MeeTime that connects you with your family and friends at any time and anywhere with high-quality video calls, even in low-light or poor network conditions. All you need is to select MeeTime app to dial as shown in image below,
MeeTime app allows you to share a screen with high quality. You can also clear the quality in low light as shown in the image below.
You can also share your Screen with your Friend during a MeeTime call which is a very handy features for collaboration among different teams, colleagues, family and friends.
MeeTime also supports Huawei Vision, Huawei Sound X, and other sound devices.
You can also share MeeTime call on a bigger screen, which is perfect for Video Conferencing:
4. Hey Celia: Huawei New Voice Assistant:
After Huawei was restricted to use Google Play Services, it came up with a new home backed Voice Assistant "Hey Celia".
To activate the voice assistant, you just have to say "Hey Celia" and you are ready to give commands to the Huawei Voice Assistant
At the moment I don't have any testing Device with EMUI 10.1 so we will have to wait for sometime to know which commands "Hey Celia" supports and how it performs among other voice assistants.
5. Wireless Sound Transmission:
Although this feature hasn't been officially confirmed yet but according to Weibo blogger, Huawei 40 series phones support wireless sound transmission.
After turning on, the external sound can be transmitted from the mobile phone to the Bluetooth headset or Bluetooth speaker in real-time.
This feature is currently available for Bluetooth headsets and supports Huawei FreeBuds, FlyPods, FreeLace series.
It is said that the mobile phone can be connected to a Bluetooth speaker for real-time sound reinforcement.
After the domestic launch of Huawei P40 series mobile phones on April 8, other old mobile phones will also be supported.
How cool is that? You can listen to your surrounding even better with the use of your Smartphone, this can be really effective in some scenarios.
6. Gallery: Single search, Multiple devices, New distributed file system:
We live in a world where we are used to using multiple devices for multiple tasks, depending on what task is at hand. Reading a book on a Tablet might be better than reading it on your Smartphone or your Laptop, similarly taking photos is easy with a Smartphone instead of a tablet.
Furthermore, our devices have limited storage space, so we might move a few files (including images) from one device to another to free up some storage space but in some cases this becomes nightmare if you are unable to find your required image.
Luckily Huawei has developed a solution for that and EMUI 10.1 is implementing it:
You can access your photo gallery on any of your devices like Huawei’s vision or a MatePad as shown in the image below. When it connected to the same home Wi-Fi network, you can also quickly search crossed devices and instantly share your images.
That's not it, Few other features are also available with EMUI 10.1, although all the features might not be available on every device running EMUI 10.1 because of comparability issues:
Here are a few more noticeable features of EMUI 10.1:
● Huawei New Themes
● New Vibrant AOD
● 3D Rendered AOD – Low power consumption
● UI More Smooth
● Convenient Multi-Window – (Drag & Drop Easily & Smooth)
● More Secure
