Hello Everyone
In this article, I am going to share my review and experience regarding the Honor * ES. It's actually something in between a smartwatch and a fitness tracker and after using it for a while I realized that Honor * ES can be the best upgrade for the fitness band users who want a bigger display and more features but don't want to compromise for the comfort of a fitness band compared to a smartwatch.
Before starting the review here is an unboxing video of the Honor * ES made by me -
My overall experience with the HONOR * ES is really happy and it's been really comfortable during my sleep as compared to my other smartwatches. Honor * ES is really a feature full smartwatch that shares so many features from the previous HONOR Magicwatch series but there are some differences too. The first and the major difference is that it has a rectangular display and I am so happy they didn't make it a square one, and other differences are you cant store your music in it (no inbuilt storage) and no inbuilt GPS.
It doesn't feel too huge on the wrist, It's thin and long, but it's got a big display to be specific 1.64 inches AMOLED touch screen which is pretty bright and clear with a resolution of 456x280 pixels and you can adjust the brightness according to your will because in the display setting you will find five brightness levels available as well as auto-brightness. if you choose the auto-brightness option it will automatically adjust the brightness depending on the ambient light condition.
It has all the common features that we see in a fitness * or in a fitness tracker like alarms, event reminders, music controls, stopwatch, heart rate sensor, shutter button, etc. But it has some feature which makes it to stand out from the crowd. Let me start with a feature that is so rare for a smartwatch and my personal favorite for this one. I am talking about the Animated Workout Courses, I come straight to this feature because it is something amazing and made this * a perfect smartwatch for your fitness goals as my title says.
So what are these Animated Workout Courses actually? In the workout section, you will find 12 different types of animated workout courses that are Re-energize, Neck & shoulder relaxation, Exercise at work, Burn fat fast, Full-body stretch, Strengthen heart and lungs, Advanced chest workout, Ab toning, Ab ripper, Core workout, Leg & glute toning, and Leg workout. All of these Include 44 posture demonstrations which are animations of a tiny man that tells you how to do that particular exercise meanwhile it tells you how many reps and how much time included for each exercise and also monitors your heart rate and calories burnt count. I found this feature really cool and unique because this can replace your gym trainer, especially at home workout
routines.
It also has Automatic Workout Recognition means when you start a workout like running, walking, rowing, or elliptical it will automatically detect it. It has a total of 95 different workout modes, 10 professional workout modes, and 85 customized workout modes. They are seriously too many even I haven't heard about half of them before.
Out of those 95 workout modes, one of them is swimming because it is 5ATM water-resistant means that this * is 50 meters waterproof, and you can take it to the shower or the pool or the sea.
You can also monitor SpO2, also known as oxygen saturation in your blood. The body needs to have a certain level of oxygen in the blood, or it will not function as efficiently and the most important way that the body maintains healthy SpO2 levels is through breathing. So if you found that your SpO2 level a little low then you can use another feature of this smartwatch and that is Breathing exercise, In the breathing exercise option will guide you to inhalation and exhalation for a set time and speed. That's cool!
TruSeen™ 4.0 heart rate monitoring technology allows HONOR * ES to support intelligent background heart rate monitoring.
Honor is always done great when it comes to tracking sleep because of it's HUAWEI TruSleep™ technology, it will not only monitor your light, deep and REM sleep, you can also get a sleep score at the end and guidance and advice which is actually referenced to medical studies on how to improve your sleep.
Let's talk about Stress Monitoring, Stress can be a good thing, helping us stay focused and alert, but it can be harmful if we don't take time to relax. To keep up with my mental well-being, I swipe across every day to see the stress data of my day that is shown in a column map with a different color for each degree. Looking at my monthly data on the Huawei Health app, I seem to be relaxed, despite having a busy schedule. When I find that my stress levels are getting very high, I want to take a break and follow the Breathing Exercises in the options menu.

Have I mentioned the Huawei Health App, Yes it's the compulsory app to connect your Honor * ES to your smartphone, and not only for the connection, but you can also manage so many things related to your smartwatch through this app like managing notification, * faces and firmware updates, etc.
In the Huawei health app, There are tons of * faces to download, choose any according to your mood or personality even you can put your own picture as your * face.

We also have the option of AOD (always on display). If you don't care about battery life, then feel free to keep that switched on. It also disables the raise to wake feature which means every time when you want to see your actual * face you have to touch it or press the side button.
This * only has a single button on the side which serves two functions, one to get you into your menu screen. And to go back home from any widget or app. The overall design of the Honor * ES is quite convenient and comfortable, slightly curved display around the top of your wrist, weighing just 21 grams. But not only that, it's not just the faces that you can personalize. You can actually experiment with any third party bands because the straps used in the HONOR * are interchangeable.
We are at the end of my review and I nearly forget to mention the battery just like I forget to charge it so often because of its long-lasting battery I get 8 to 10 days run from a single charge. It supports fast charging means 30 minutes of fast charging can power a week of typical usage in such a slim *, you're getting so many functions with a huge 1.64-inch display that's fully touch activated with a physical button. You've got animated gestures, and nonetheless, it will still last you a week and a half.
If you have any questions let me know in the comment section below what you think of the honor * ES. for me it's a good competition to all the other smartwatches out there. It's a perfect mixture of style and fitness.
THANKS, KURAMA
