[REVIEW] HONOR Band 6 : A Supreme Fitness Band Experience

I have been using this Band for nearly a month now and it has been on my wrist 24/7, so it is a good time to share my review for the HONOR Band 6 with you. First, If you haven't checked my first impression post on the HONOR Band 6, check here -

When it was launched in China some months back I was so excited about it and waiting eagerly to be announced globally, and when it happened globally I was so fortunate to have a chance to be an early tester for the HONOR Band 6, Thanks to this community.

Let's start the review.

HONOR Band 6 design is so minimalistic yet so elegant, As an old Honor product user, I am always expected high in terms of quality and Honor always maintained it. Always been a fan of the Honor Band 5 which is already a perfect fitness band for the time being and wondered what they can add more in the Honor Band 6 to make it better looking, and they have done it, they add a full view AMOLED display for us to not think less of a smartwatch at the price of a fitness band. I have already said that it is the best smartwatch alternative. if you think smartwatches are too big for you or you are on a tight budget then the Honor Band 6 is perfect for you and your pocket too, It has a bigger and brighter display than any conventional fitness bands out there.

HONOR Band 6 is undoubtedly the nicest looking fitness band we can have right now, And I am happy that I got a black unit to use. Silicon straps are comfortable with many holes on both sides so don't you worry if you have a skinny wrist.

The most attractive and the biggest upgrade with respect to its predecessor Band 5 is the screen size from 0.95 to 1.45 inches. Even in direct sunlight, the AMOLED screen is very sharp, vivid, and easy to see.

We don't get a click and fix type of charging adapter this time like the Honor band 5 which is a good thing as it makes the charging more convenient, With the Honor band 6 we get a magnetic charging cable that can be easily attached to the two magnetic pins on the rear of the HONOR Band 6. Honor Band 6 supports fast charging and it can last for three days on a 10 min charge and a full charge which takes less than an hour make the band lasts for fourteen days at max, But if you a hardcore user using all the monitoring features it will limit to a 10-day battery backup

If we talk more about design we have a multifunction button on the right, and it is the only physical button we can have on the Honor Band 6 and if you look closely you can see a red line design on it. This button can be used to access the app menu or coming back to the home screen. On the other side, an honor logo engraved the HONOR Band 6 Plastic body which looks pretty nice.

Huawei Health App, It is available at the Play store, AppGallery, and App Store. If you already have an Honor or Huawei smart band or smartwatch then maybe you know all its workings. For the new users, you can connect your Honor Band 6 and track all the daily activity data through the app. All your sleep data, heart rate monitoring data, step count, etc synced to the app through your HONOR Band 6. The app can be used to update your band and you can manage all your band settings like notifications, alarms, * faces, etc through the app.

Overall it is a great and user-friendly health app and you can use it even without a fitness band or a smartwatch.

* Faces is something important when you buy a new smart band or *, Two things that we concerned about while buying it, the first one is the availability of different * faces and the second one is the ability to customize them according to our taste. Honor Band 6 gives you both the options, On the Huawei Health App you got a huge * faces store with hundreds of both free and paid HONOR Band 6 * faces. You can also set any of your favorite pictures from your phone to your * face that too through the Huawei Health App. Personally, I prefer * faces with big and bold fonts they look cool to me and I really wish for AOD for the Band 6 in future updates. I think that will make the gap narrowed between the Honor Band 6 and a smartwatch.

Although it is just 18 grams (without the straps) but it feels really heavy when compared to the other fitness Bands in terms of features. In addition to all the basic features, it has a female cycle tracker, stress monitoring, workout auto-detection, and SpO2 tracking. SpO2 tracking became a common feature and we can get this feature in nearly all the new fitness trackers but how accurate they work, I don't know about them, and for the Band 6 you can check here –

In addition to the features list, I would love to again recall the big bold and beautiful display and the easy charging solution of the HONOR Band 6.

As a fitness band HONOR Band 6 is a very attractive device and for its price tag it's really affordable with lots of amazing features, we get a lot of info on the band like weather condition, App notifications (Thanks to the Big AMOLED display all the notifications are enough big to read easily). we can use it as a camera shutter button and also control our phone music through Honor Band 6, we have a flashlight feature where the Band screen glows white to give us some light, and one more cool feature that I would like to add here is the ''Find my Phone'' feature, the best thing about it is that your phone rings even in silent mode.

All these small and big features of the HONOR Band 6 makes it a good choice for spending our hard-earned money.
