Hello Honor Fans!
Be careful you do everything at your own risk!
Today I have a guide for you on how to install the service firmware.
The whole operation will wipe the device, all our files will be deleted. The device must be charged in at least 30%
What will we need?
- service firmware (You can find https://huaweidl.com/ and https://androidhost.ru/) for the second link, enter the device model in the search engine. (Settings -> System Information -> Model)
- a minimum 8GB pendrive connected via an OTG cable or directly to the device, or an 8GB SD card (preferably formatted from the device level, if we are not able to use the device, we format it to exFat)
Two methods
Method first:
1. Unpack the firmware archive (we are interested in the dload folder in the software folder)
2. Copy the unpacked folder onto a USB stick / SD card. (Important dload folder cannot be in another folder)
3. Connect the USB flash drive / insert the SD card to the device.
4. Open the phone application and enter * # * # 2846579 # * # *
5. Such a window will appear
6. Select Software Upgrade -> Memory Card Upgrade -> Yes
7. The device will reboot in recovery mode and the entire installation process will begin. It may take up to 20-30 minutes.
Method second:
So here we go!
1. Turn off your smartphone
2. Press the volume + button and connect the charger, hold it until the Huawei / Honor logo appears, do not disconnect it.
2. Depending on the version of the system, you will immediately see eRecovery (Android 9 and below) or, as in my case, in the screenshot below
3. Click update Mode
4. Select Memory card/OTG update Mode
5. Phone will be updated do not turn off your smartphone
6. After finish phone will be restarted
