Mobile data frequently disconnects and reconnects

Moving locations
If you are in a vehicle travelling a long distance (such as a train or coach), the mobile data may disconnect and reconnect because you are travelling through different areas, some of which may have poor network coverage.
Poor network signal in specific areas
If the issue occurs only in specific areas, you can compare your phone with other phones on the same carrier network, or go to another place and check the network of your phone. If other devices on the same carrier network also have this problem, or the network of your phone becomes normal after you move to another place, the issue may be caused by a poor network signal in specific areas.
The issue only occurs with certain apps or websites
The issue may be caused by exceptions with third-party servers. You can try to use another app or website, or report this issue to the customer service of the third-party app or website.
The network frequently disconnects and reconnects due to the network speed limit of the data plan
Some mobile data plans limit the network speeds if the data you use exceeds the threshold. You can contact the customer service of the carrier to check if you have used more data than what is permitted by the plan limit.
After Power saving mode is enabled, the network automatically disconnects
If Power saving mode is enabled, the network connection will be stopped if you lock the screen or close the app. You can enable the network connection again. This is a normal feature of your phone. If you do not like this feature, you can disable Power saving mode using the following method: Open Settings, search for and access Power saving mode, then disable Power saving mode.
Your phone is connected to a VPN
Check to see if a key icon is displayed in the status bar, as shown in the following figure. If so, the issue may be caused by the VPN.
Open Settings, search for and access VPN, then disconnect or disable the VPN.
You are using an IoT card or a data only SIM card
Some IoT/data only SIM cards may have this issue due to differences in contract information. You can try again with a normal SIM card.
APN
Open Settings, search for APNs, and touch Access Point Names to access the settings screen. Touch Access Point Names again, touch
in the upper right corner, and touch Reset to default.
In other scenarios, perform the following to troubleshoot the issue:
Open Settings, search for and access Reset network settings, then touch Reset network settings to reset the network settings of your phone. (Note: This will delete all your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection records. The lock screen password is required for verification when doing this.)
If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
