My phone/tablet heats up when downloading, installing, or batch updating an app
| My phone/tablet heats up when downloading, installing, or batch updating an app |
Cause:
When apps are downloaded, installed, or updated in batches (for example, after the system is updated), the CPU keeps running at a high speed. The working process includes copying, decompressing, scanning, and creating the corresponding databases. During this process, your phone/tablet generates more heat for a short time, which is normal.
After the download and installation, turn off the screen for a period of time. Your phone/tablet temperature gradually becomes normal. All HONOR devices have undergone strict tests before shipping to ensure safe use. It is normal for your phone/tablet to heat up during batch updates of apps and this does not indicate an issue.
Suggestion:
- During batch updates of apps, place your phone/tablet in an open area. Avoid placing it on quilts or blankets that do not allow heat dissipation.
- To reduce heat, avoid updating the apps in batches when charging your phone/tablet.
