A warning message is displayed indicating that the device temperature is abnormal |
Problem:
- The phone prompts "Device is too hot. All apps(except Phone and Contacts) are temporarily suspended." (as shown below), exits all foreground apps automatically, and does not respond upon tapping other apps. Only when the phone temperature drops down can it work normally.
- The phone alerts that the temperature is too low and will stop working.
Cause:
For you to use your phone safely, the system will check the temperature of the phone's hardware. If the temperature is out of the normal range, your phone will display a message indicating that the temperature is too high or too low and that your phone is about to stop working. The phone may then fail to be charged, automatically power off, or restart.
Solution:
- This issue may occur if the temperature in the surrounding environment is too low or too high, and you can continue to use your phone after the temperature goes back to normal. It is recommended that you keep your phone in an ambient temperature ranging from 0°C to 35°C to avoid this issue and reduce battery consumption.
If the phone is overheating, search for "My phone gets overheated" to lower power consumption and heat.
- If the message occurs when the ambient temperature is normal, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
