Hello - HONOR Play will be getting EMUI 9.1 very soon!

Why Honor device have better specifications in China than EU? Example: Honor Band 5 Global don't have blood O2 sensor but China version have.

Hi there, thanks for the question. Our products do sometimes vary from market to market, but we're always doing our best to bring the latest and greatest technology to our customers, wherever they are.

Good day! Sir Olivier Dobo, First of all, I'm Rav and I'm a FILIPINO, and I think I'm not in the right place to post comments, beacause this is HONOR UK CLUB. Then again, I realized that HONOR is not just serving one country, but is serving for many countries. HONOR is for the WORLD. And my question goes like this. When will HONOR be the number 1 technology brand in the world? Second, what is/are the steps for achieving this goal? Lastly, how can HONOR maintain this kind of accomplishment? Hello Rav - glad you're such a big HONOR fan. I've already answered a bit about our UK Marketing strategy and I imagine my colleagues in other markets will have their own strategies too. We really believe in our products and the differences they can make to the lives of young people, so we're excited to continue raising awareness and releasing brilliant technology!

First of all A big Congratulations for the Achievement... .. I would like to know if Honor plans to remain mostly as an online seller or collaborate with some domestic telecom partners in UK to expand its hands in the offline market just as Huawei did it in India just yesterday partnering with Micromax.?? And when we can expect a 5g device from Honor and also why Honor keeps avoiding Amoled displays when it has some stiff competition from other makers...??

Hello - good questions! Yes we are really proud of being available in a wide range of places in the UK and want to continue growing into even more channels. On 5G, we're always looking at new technology and how we can incorporate it into our products - our CEO has announced that it will be coming to a future phone so watch out for that soon! Answer:

Hello - I'm good, hope you are too! We work really hard to make our creative camera systems work brilliantly under as many different lighting and environment conditions as possible, which is why we're so proud to see our HONOR 20 PRO achieve a brilliant score of 111 in DxOMark. While our depth sensor is 2 megapixel, it's a key part of this high score - it stays in focus all the way down to four centimeters away from what you're taking photos of, meaning really great up-close images of things like plants and tiny animals.

Hello Olivier Dobo ;) Here's my question: Camera 2 API was introduced by Google with the Android Version 5. Before Camera 2 API, camera functions of any device was very limited. With Camera 2 API, Google gives camera developers options to do more with the camera. Control the shutter speed(ISO), focus, RAW capture, etc. When does HONOR will give this option since the selling point of HONOR devices is Camera?

Hi - we're very proud of the cameras in our phones and love the creativity that HONOR users show - hopefully HONOR 20's fantastic DxOMark score of 111 shows you that we're serious about making them the best on the market at their price point. We do use the Camera 2 API in our phones and I'll pass your feedback on extra camera features to our development team.

Hey Oliver, Since you're a marketing director, I'd like to ask whether Honor has any partnerships. If yes, are you going to do any special collaborations or events with your partners?

Answer:

Hey - we do for sure. In the UK specifically we've partnered with Dele, one of the best footballers in the country, while worldwide we have lots of partnerships with the likes of Moschino and Viviene Tam. Hello - Huawei and HONOR will be revealing more information on exactly which phones will get Android Q and EMUI10 closer to their release date. Stay tuned.

Hello - we didn't sell HONOR 7S in the UK so I'd recommend speaking to the team in the country you bought it from to discuss software updates.

Hello Mr. Dobo, I'm not here for a prize but for a real question: why can we not unlock bootloaders of popular Honor phones? Your EMUI software has been voted the worst Android skin multiple times (TrustedReviews, Which) and I hate it. What do you gain by preventing users installing custom software on their own phone? I would have bought an Honor if it were not for the fact that even after buying the phone it is not truly mine. It is restricted to the Huawei OS, and I am powerless to change that. I bought a Xiaomi phone instead. Within a week of purchasing it, it was running a fully stable custom ROM, fully open source for the community to audit and improve. I put my money where my mind is - with openness and freedom - at last my phone is truly mine - and it's no longer an Honor. I am no longer restricted to a single, ugly, user interface. If Huawei and Honor are above board (not spying or making revenue from phone usage), then there is nothing to lose from allowing consumers to access their phones internal software. Of course, a warning that it is only suggested for advanced power users is entirely justified. But this time last year, you entirely shut down your bootloader unlocking programme. That's when you lost my money. Thank you for reading this, I hope to get a real response, explaining this decision and why the codes are now unavailable.

Hello, thanks for the question. I'm sorry to hear we lost your business - as I'm sure you'll have seen Huawei and HONOR stopped providing bootloader codes in May 2018 and I'm afraid we don't have any plans to reintroduce them. We're always working on improving our phones, including their UI, and have recently introduced Magic UI which we will continue to work hard on. While I can understand your frustration I'm afraid bootloader unlocking is not something we're planning to make available again.

Answer:

Hello - as I mentioned, we're always looking at bringing the best technology to our phones but at the moment we're continuing with LCD, meaning we can continue creating amazing things like our hole-punch displays!

Hello Sir, I want to know the future plans in terms of display technology for Honor Smartphones. Till now we are only getting LCD displays rather than LED displays. Is there any possibility of AMOLED or POLED displays in the upcoming smartphones or Honor is planning to launch own display technology?

Answer:

Hello - we are always looking at what new technology we can bring to our future products and things like OLED screens are a big part of that. We also know how important a good screen can be. At the moment we're continuing with LCD which means we can create amazing displays like our hole-punch displays, complete with the smallest hole-punch on the market, but we'll see what happens in the future.
