Today we’re going to have a look at some of the upgrades inside the new powerfully compact HONOR MagicBook Series. 

What are the technical advantages? Let’s dive right in!

11th Generation Intel Processor

In the UK, only the HONOR MagicBook 14 with Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM will be available. The Intel Core i5-1135G7 is an energy-efficient quad-core SoC designed for sleek laptops and Ultrabooks, just like the HONOR MagicBook Series. The Tiger Lake-U (UP3) processor has four Willow Cove processor cores commanding 8 threads in total thanks to Hyper-Threading support. The frequency can go from 2.4 GHz guaranteed base clock to as high as 4.2 GHz (1-core Boost frequency) while the all-core Boost is limited to 3.8 GHz.

The 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, part of the new 11th Gen Intel Core processor family, is the world’s best processor for thin and light laptops. Bluetooth 5.1

Yes, the new HONOR MagicBook got a Bluetooth upgrade from 5.0 to 5.1, but what’s new?

When it comes to wireless technology, this is definitely the most important new feature. The Bluetooth 5.0 transmitting device only knows how far away you are from the receiver, not its exact location. That is because it uses Bluetooth signal strength to determine the device’s proximity.

Devices using Bluetooth 5.1, on the other hand, use more antennas to pinpoint the exact direction, and the distance is determined by signal strength. The new version is so precise that it can pinpoint a device to within a few centimeters of its location.

Dual Heat Pipes & Large Cooling Fan

The HONOR MagicBook series is equipped with a large cooling fan and dual heat pipes, allowing efficient heat dissipation to maintain a manageable temperature even during intense gaming sessions.

Eye Comfort HONOR FullView Display

Featuring a 14-inch stunning Eye Comfort HONOR FullView Display, 100% sRGB colour gamut and a screen to body ratio of 84%, the new HONOR MagicBook 14 Intel Core i7 delivers an immersive viewing experience, bringing vivid colours and true-to-life imagery to help users capture every detail on their screen, whether it be for study, work or play.

The HONOR MagicBook 14 Intel Core i5 version is packed with a 45% NTSC 1080p screen. Its brightness can reach up to 250 nits.

Perfect for those who spend long hours in front of a screen, the new HONOR MagicBook Series comes equipped with TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, TÜV Rheinland Flicker-free Certification and all new DC Dimming technology. Wi-Fi 6

Wi-Fi 6 is the first significant update to Wi-Fi since its introduction in the late 1990s. Wi-Fi 6 brings new under-the-hood features to the table that substantially improves the experience. Previous versions were little more than finicky wireless Ethernet.

While all versions of Wi-Fi (except 802.11b) have various distinct signal subcarriers, at any given moment, only one Wi-Fi device can transmit at any given time, and only in one direction. Wi-Fi 6 allows you to separate the channels for better performance, and even leave some unused so that other devices can transmit back to the router at the same time - something that has never been possible previously in Wi-Fi.
