Music problems on the phone and magicwatch 2

Hi, can anyone advise on how i can get music on my honor phone and onto the magicwatch 2.

Ive tried to download it from my laptop using the charger cable and it goes onto the phone fine, although any music will then play as an m4a file and through youtube music (which is annoying as i only plays one song at a time rather than fade into the next, thus i have to manually select a song each time), anyway, i then changed the file type to mp3 so that it would be wacth friendly. However when i go into the health app to add music, no music shows as available to add, therefore i cant add any to the app to then add to the watch.

Does anyone know how i can sort this out as ive just got the earbuds to use and they all seem a bit redundant now if i cant even get music to play properly on the phone, not to mention the watch :(
