[HONOR Watch] NEW! HONOR Watch ES vs Apple Watch SE: How do they compare?

Interestingly enough, around the same time Apple unveiled its new smartwatches. Therefore, today I wanted to take a look at the Apple Watch SE as a competitor to the HONOR watch ES and see how it compares. Let’s take a look!

Smartwatch Displays

A good place to begin when comparing the HONOR Watch ES with the Apple Watch SE is the screen and display as this is something that will always be insight when on your wrist. Both displays are slightly different with the HONOR Watch SE coming in with a 1.6 inch AMOLED Touch display that is slightly larger than the Apple Watch SE and with a 70% screen to body ratio. HONOR Watch SE has more of a rectangular shape compared to Apple’s watch and this feels more practical when swiping through various options.

Battery Power

When it comes to battery power, HONOR Watch ES totally overpowers the Apple Watch SE! The latter has an 18 hour battery, which means you need to charge it every day. In comparison, HONOR Watch ES has a battery life of 10 days! In addition to this, 30 minutes of fast charging can power a week of typical usage. In terms of battery, HONOR Watch ES is incredibly more practical and long-lasting than its Apple competitor.

Health and Fitness features

SpO2 is designed to track and measure oxygen saturation levels in your blood. This tool is especially handy as a reference for respiratory well-being when working out or when your in a high altitude environment. Interestingly SpO2 is available on HONOR Watch ES and not on the new Apple watch. In addition to SpO2, HONOR watch ES has a 24/7 heart rate monitor and stress monitor. When it comes to fitness, both smartwatches offer decent fitness-centric features. However, HONOR’s new watch comes with 95 different workout modes and 12 animated workout courses, which is more extensive than what Apple offers. All of these health and fitness features alongside a 10 day battery life make the HONOR Watch ES a more appealing option for fitness lovers and thanks to the Female Cycle Tracker, its an even more appealing option for women.

Pricing and Availability

In terms of pricing, there is a huge difference between the HONOR Watch ES and Apple Watch SE. While the Apple Watch will be available soon from £269, HONOR’s new watch is priced at over half the price at a very reasonable £99! Verdict

Both the HONOR Watch ES and Apple Watch SE are newly released smartwatches that are at the forefront of the market. Aesthetically both watches are sleek and comfortable with well-sized and responsive displays that are easy to navigate. However, moving into the internals, HONOR Watch ES seems to pack a little more considering that it is more than half in price less than the Apple Watch SE at only £99! For me, it is this, the combination of functionality and price, that makes the HONOR Watch ES a more attractive option than its Apple competitor.
