As the third smartwatch from HONOR Huawei, the HONOR Watch GS pro aims at both outdoor explore and indoor fitness use. In this article, we would like to explain the three aspects that get improved from HONOR Magicwatch 2 to HONOR Watch GS pro. About the HONOR Watch GS pro & HONOR Magicwatch 2
The HONOR Watch GS pro will be launched on 4th September 2020 at IFA. It is an exciting new addition to the growing portfolio of high-quality HONOR wearable.
The HONOR magicwatch 2 was released in October 2019, which is mainly designed for indoor fitness use with two different sizes 46mm and 42mm available in the market. From its launch until now, this smartwatch keeps receiving praise from both users and media. Recently it even got featured in Men’s health magazine as one of the best smartwatches. Design
The HONOR MagicWatch 2 was certainly no slouch in the looks department. The 316L stainless steel enclosure housed an Always-On AMOLED Display, but in the style of a classic watch that wouldn’t look out of place worn with a suit and tie.
Furthermore, the personalised watch faces meant that you could add a dash of your own personal style to your look. From the design of the HONOR Watch GS Pro on the other hand, it is immediately apparent that this is an outdoors watch. Just by looking at it, it’s no surprise that it features a whopping 14 Military-Grade (MIL-STD-810 Rated) certifications ranging from cold resistance, to shock resistance to fluid contamination resistance.
The stainless steel watch ring and buttons are also more streamlined and the outdoor watch face features a larger touching area, while still being customisable, amounting to an overall sturdier more rugged appearance.
Battery
The battery-life of the MagicWatch 2 was one of its standout features. Somehow, HONOR has managed to cram even more into the HONOR Watch GS Pro attributing it a massive 25 Day battery-life! The KIRIN A1 chipset means this can be achieved while wearing the watch all day, continuously monitoring heart rate, working out with GPS for 90 minutes a week, turning on the screen 200 times, playing music for 30 minutes aand with notifications enable (untitleddailytakes breath). The GPS Sports mode will last you around 45 hours battery-life, but turning this on intermittently you can expect to find about 100 hours outdoor battery life - so definitely suitable for an adventure-filled weekend!
Outdoor Features
The HONOR Watch GS Pro also sees some big changes in terms of software. While the MagicWatch 2 initially offers 15 Goal-Based Fitness modes, and added 85 more to these with an update, the GS Pro will feature 101 workout modes.
All former liked workout modes, like hiking and swimming, with an incredible addition- a Professional Skiing Mode for multiple skiing scenarios, will be offered by HONOT Watch GS pro.
If you’re going seriously off the beaten track, there is also a Route Back feature, so you can get back on solid ground as quickly as possible. In high-altitude you can also make use of the alti-barometer and compass to get your bearings, while the new Celestial Data and Weather Alert features will be keeping an eye on the skies to make sure you’re not caught out in a storm.
