Hey everyone,
Today I'd like to talk about the latest rumors on the mysterious HONOR Magic X and the technology behind foldable displays!

Foldable OLED technology
Flexible screens have become increasingly common. They've been in development for a while, and the first phones with flexible screens debuted about six years ago. They weren't particularly noteworthy, however. The only way to tell if they had a flexible screen inside them was if their screens had curved edges.
What's happening now is that these phones not only have curved edges, but they can also be folded. Flexible display technology, which is based on OLED displays, is used to make foldable phones. As a result, LCD displays make up the majority of the screens we see in our daily lives. It's a liquid crystal display, and it's usually constructed around a glass base.
OLED
The pixels of an OLED screen, the light portion of the screen that emits light or that displays an image, is actually built into the screen itself. So the LEDs are on the actual screen technology instead of being behind it and projecting through a glass pane.

FOLED
This is different compared to flexible displays. What's happening with flexible displays is that they have this OLED screen technology that's being printed on a thin layer of plastic. When you've got that thin layer of plastic, you can do all kinds of things with it. You can bend it, or you can shape it in different ways.

HONOR Magic X
New juicy rumors about the folding of Honor have reached the surface of the internet: in fact, according to the leaker RODENT950 it will be called Magic X and is expected to be announced in the summer of 2021.
HONOR recently registered three new trademarks:
Magic X, Honor Eva, and Honor Mega.
It seems like the leaks are true and this is an easy confirmation.
It’s reported that HONOR will make use of chipsets MediaTek Dimensity 1100 and 1200, but also the Snapdragon 888 for its upcoming smartphones in 2021.
I've created a possible design of the HONOR Magic X:

I'm very excited for what HONOR will bring to the market this year!
What are your thoughts about a possible HONOR foldable phone?
