HONOR Magic Earbuds, what are they capable of?

Today I would like to talk about the HONOR Magic Earbuds
I've been using the HONOR Magic Earbuds since the beginning of Summer 2020 and I am blown away!
The HONOR Magic Earbuds have been out there for a while, but what can they do and is it worth the price?
At the day of writing this article, the price of the Magic Earbuds is £69.99.
That’s quite cheap for Wireless earbuds in general, but what can they do?
The HONOR Mafic Earbuds are capable of Noise Cancellation.
It has 3 different modes.
The first mode: Noise Canceling
Noise canceling is actually pretty rare for a pair of earbuds with this cheap pricetag.
It really does a great job! Please use it with caution and DON’T use it on your bike!
The second mode: Off
This mode is exactly what it says. It now works just like a normal pair of earbuds.
You can use this mode on your bike, of course!
The third mode: Awareness
This mode is perfect for when you still want to hear the people around you, but also want to listen to music and don’t want to take out your earbuds. It’s possible to use it on your bike, but it could get a bit noisy because of the microphones that will catch the noise of the wind.
AI Life App
My advice is to download the AI Life app from Huawei, so you can control more settings of your earbuds like: shortcuts, wear detection and updates. You can also see the battery percentages of both the earbuds and the case. So yes, this app is a must have!
Shortcuts
When you go tot he shortcuts settings in the AI Life app, you can see that you can set 2 different types of shortcuts: Double-tap and Touch & Hold.
In Double-tap you can select your setting per earbud. So if you want to play or pause the song while double-tapping the left earbud, that’s totally possible! And if you want to wake voice assistant or play the next song, you can do that while double-tapping the right earbud. These were just some examples of the many options. Within the Touch & hold section, you can choose which Noise control modes you want to activate for the long press.
It will cycle through the different modes and you will hear a woman’s voice saying “off” or any of the other modes.
Smart wear detection
I think this option says it all. It’s just to turn on the smart wear detection. When you take out your earbud, the audio will pause. Also, when multiple devices are connected to your phone, it will automatically switch between the playback devices.
Conclusion
Should you buy the HONOR Magic Earbuds? My answer is a big fat YES!
It’s a real pleasure to my ears wearing these, and the battery goes a long way!
