Hi guys,

I bought an Honor Magic 5 Pro in June, I was convinced by a friend to pick that very specific model despite its costly price (1200€ on Amazon);

ngl, even if the phone feels nice, there's a few buzz kills that completely ruin the experience imo,

-lense flare : I never experienced that before, even with cheap smartphones, but everytime I take a picture on a sunny day, most of my pictures have lense flares, I don't see the point of having one of the the top 3 best camera if the result is spoiled with such effects, seems like a know issue

-compass : when using a navigation app such as google maps, the precision of the location goes nuts after a few minutes, and the arrow points the wrong direction, I got lost multiples times while visiting new cities because of that... it's extremeley frustrating

-low volume : I have a hard time believing that a modern smartphone cannot yield more volume than that, if I'm having a phone call and there is some noisy background, I'll have to increase the volume to max in order to hear (more or less) the conversation, loud speaker volume is not really impressive either, and the volume when connected via bluetooth is also very disappointing (car, JBL Extreme 2), I don't have the same issue with other devices, and I don't have any third part apps messing with sound, no absolute volume option either, already tried changing bluetooth version in dev mode

-facial recognition : had to disable it, when putting the phone in my pocket, the phone would read my face even if I didn't face the screen and unlock, I had a lot of pocket dials because of that (some early 2000s vibes here, when we had to lock the keypad)

-shortcut button : on my previous smartphone I could assign an action to the power button, double press would open the camera and that was pretty convenient, well that's not an issue but more like a nice to have

am I alone ? if you have solutions that work, I'm all ears, but please, no generic suggestions such as factory reset
