[HONOR Band 6] Streamlined but still feature-rich!

I hope you all doing great - In this post, I'm going to share my review of HONOR Band 6

The brand new Honor Band 6 is being launched by Honor and seems to be fully powered. The fast-paced society has become important for wearable products, including smartwatches and band. A smartwatch and a band can easily be distinguished, because they are both radically different in designs, which means that certain smartwatch carriers don't like the wristband. Like some faithful Smartwatch fans, they don't like the fancy wearing the smart band, but the Honor Band 6 has still managed to catch the attention.

Design and Display

The screen size has grown from 0.95′′ to 1.45′′, which is the largest change over the Honor Band 5 from 2019. Even in direct sunlight, this 194 x 368 AMOLED panel is sharp, colourful, and easy to see. Since the screen occupies approximately 85% of the device's face, bezels are minimal. The Honor Band 6 buttons are on the side and redesigned. A red line runs across the buttons, giving it a very attractive appearance. The band is silicone like most fitness bands, and thanks to a higher than ordinary number of notches, the fit is comfortable for me — which permits more gradual adjustments. While my band is in understated black, two additional colours can be added to the aesthetics.ching text of "HONOR."

Highlighted Features

Honor Band 6 maintains its excellent standard in terms of health. It promotes 24-hour heart monitoring, stress testing, blood oxygen testing and even a new feature of female health management.

Heart Rate Monitoring

Smart 24 hour heart rate surveillance is supported by Honor Band 6 and the user can record heart rate changes on a day. Set the warning value in advance for low or high heart rate and send a prompt warning when the conditions are met that reminds users to take action in due course.

Heart Health Research

Download the Heart Rate Health Research APP to help you identify problems, such as arrhythmia and sleep apnea, using Honor Band 6 high performance sensors. This generation has also added a new prediction of the risk of atrial fibrillation that can predict in advance the risk of atrial fibrillation.

Sleep Monitoring

On the HONOR Band 6 TruSleep algorithm can record sleep and stages accurately. HONOR Band 6 offers professional sleep enhancing and personalised help with your sleep. HONOR Band 6 can help you get a nice rest night.

Blood Oxygen Test

The level of blood oxygen is a key indicator of your wellness as a whole. Low oxygen in the blood will cause fatigue, energy deficiency, memory loss. Oxygen is going to damage your brain, heart, and other organ for long periods of low blood. The HONOR Band 6 combines optimising softwares and optical hardware to detect the level of oxygen in the blood accurately.

Women’s Health Management

Honor Band 6 supports the functions of women's health management and can generate periodic reminders by entering information that is extremely helpful for everyday women's lives.

Honor Band 6 also supports pressure monitoring and respiration training functions in addition to the above 5 types. It can help users understand their own recent stress situation by adjusting their breathing and physical and mental help. All of the functions of Honor Band 6 are extremely practical and easy to use with regard to health.

Exercise Assistance

HONOR Band 6 has a broad range of workout methods, such as running, walking, cycling and other activities, to monitor your physical exercises. HONOR Band 6 will record your reference performance even though you want to do your underwater training.

Functional experience

HONOR Band 6 recalls all that needs attention, such as incoming messages, daily schedules and so forth. The voice control feature can improve the comfort of the Honor Band 6 even further. Initially, operations like alarm clock setting and exercise activation needed to take a number of steps, but they can now be completed by a single password. It should be noted, however, that this function should be used with EMUI 10.1 or higher in Honor phones.

Battery

The Honor Band 6 delivers incredible battery life, using low energy chips and smart power-saving algorithms in general scenarios like normal battery life, normal night sleep, 30 minutes workout per week and notifications turned on. The battery can still last up to 10 days in other scenarios with heavy use. Honor band 6 sports a fast magnetic charge that frees you from long charging times. After only 5 minutes charging, the band can also be used for two days.

Verdict - Best for the balance of features and Price

The birth of Honor Band 6 can be considered an official announcement with its large screen and powerful features, and the traditional band style will be broken. Although new products of traditional, small band will still be available since Honor Band 6 opens the precedents for large-screen bands, this newly positioned band sector will likely have new products emerging and will make the display standard in the smart wearable industry.

The improvement from the larger screen is quite clear with regard to Honor Band 6 itself. With a larger field of view, more display content and better reading, as the band itself carries many convenient functions, the most direct choice for user experience is to upgrade the screen.

The Honor Band 6 finally is just [¥249/ £28 /  $38 / €32], and [¥289 / £32/ $44 / €38] for the NFC version. Although price has increased a bit, yet the price is actually a lot more affordable, given the increase in experience generated by a wider screen. Honor Band 6 is definitely worth it, get it!
