Good morning all at the UK Honor Community!
One of the intriguing things of the Honor 50 is the battery configuration. At 4,000 mAh it admittedly isn't a big progression from the Honor 20 which used a 3,750 mAh and the Honor 20 Pro even used a 4,000mAh battery . However the charge speed has progressed from 22.5W to a stupidly fast 66W. This should reduce battery anxiety markedly as you can easily charge in minutes before leaving for work, college or play and have a phone ready for whatever life throws at you.
It must be remembered that flagship phones from Apple, Samsung and Google all use 25-30W charge at their fastest, so this is a very competitive charge speed that competes with the very fastest phones available.

As stated, the phone can get to 70% charge in 20 minutes and 100% in 45 minutes. Generally the baseline for testing is 0/5% to 80% and then 100% which is what I tested today.
Before I show the results, there is one question. Why does it take so long between 70/80% and 100% charge?
Put simply, batteries do not charge in a linear fashion. From 0-10% charge, a charger does not put full current (Amperage) into a battery to avoid damaging the battery. After that, the charger provides full speed charge to approx 80% (Hence most people test to 80% then 100%). After that again the charger uses trickle charge to finish charging but not damage the battery.

So without further ado, onto the testing. For double verification, I use Accubattery to measure current given, and a friendly phone used as stopwatch and to verify the times.
As a baseline, this was the state of the phone at 5% charge and 0 on the timer:

As you can see, 5% battery, not on charge, and ready to go.

One minute later. Honor 50 on charge, charging at full speed

23 minutes later, 80% charge, and in line with the claims of 70% charge in 20 minutes. For most people, this means that they can charge their phones in an emergency and get at least the days worth of charge in literal minutes.

And finally, near full at 42 minutres, and 100% before the 45 minute claimed.
This is an amazing result, and unlike a certain other phone whose claimed charge speed was not what it was claimed! Thanks to the amazing 66W SuperCharge by Honor, you can kiss battery anxiery goodbye!
