[Comparison] HONOR Magic V - VS - Oppo Find N

How are you doing? We all know that on 10th January HONOR launched the most powerful foldable phone ever, HONOR Magic V. It is the world's first foldable smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

There are so many foldable phones already available in the market and the newest in them is the Oppo Find N, So I decided to make a quick comparison post between the HONOR Magic V and Oppo Find N.

Different people may have different opinions regarding the design and form factor of a device. HONOR Magic V is available in three colors and all three colors are in different finishes that are leather, aluminum, and glass, So these are basically more than just color choices. On the other hand, Oppo Find N is a compact device with a glossy glass back design, it has a much smaller external display than the HONOR Magic V. HONOR Magic V is thinner among both by 1.6mm (folded) and by 1.3mm (unfolded).

Oppo Find is a cute looking device when folded but in my opinion, a 6.45-inch external display of HONOR Magic V is more like a regular screen size these days, and it's thinner too.

The HONOR Magic V has the largest internal display: a 7.9-inch OLED panel with a Quad HD+ resolution, one billion colors, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+. The OPPO Find N has an AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz.

On the external Display, HONOR Magic V has a 6.45 inches OLED Full HD+ resolution panel that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, on the other hand, OPPO Find N has a 5.49 inches Full HD AMOLED panel that only supports a 60 Hz refresh rate. HONOR Magic V also has a better screen-to-body ratio too.

As I mentioned at the starting of this post that HONOR Magic V is the most powerful foldable phone because it's powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 mobile platform, which features an octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 3 GHz and is manufactured on a 4 nm process. The SoC is combined with up to 512 GB of internal storage and 12 GB of RAM.

And the Oppo Find N is also equipped with a top-tier Snapdragon processor but it's one step behind the HONOR Magic V, It is equipped with Snapdragon 888 which is also a flagship-level processor but not the top-level just like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Along with the snapdragon 888, it has up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of ROM.

On the back of the HONOR Magic V, we get a triple camera setup which are Main camera, Ultra-wide, and Spectrum, each is 50MP. There are two front-facing 42MP cameras one on the internal and another one on the external display. Oppo Find N also sports a rear triple camera setup, a 50 MP main camera, a 13 MP telephoto sensor, and a 16 MP ultrawide sensor. It has two front cameras which are 32MP each.

With a capacity of 4750 mAh, the Honor Magic V's battery is larger, but it also has a big display so consumes more power too, 66 watts of fast charging support is helpful in that. Oppo Find N has a 4500 mAh battery with 33 watts fast charging that also supports 15 watts wireless charging.

In Honor Magic V we get superior hardware, large displays, bigger battery, and different finish options to choose from. On the other side, Oppo Find N is compact which some people find a good thing, and it also good display and supports wireless charging too.
