Warranty Policy
1. Preface
In accordance with the applicable laws and regulations relating to the protection of consumer rights and interests in Malaysia, Honor Technology (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No. 202101003804) (“HONOR”) hereby establishes this Warranty Policy. This Warranty Policy sets out the terms and conditions governing the return, replacement, and repair services available for eligible HONOR Products purchased within Malaysia. For the purposes of this Warranty Policy, certain defined terms (including “Product”) shall have the meanings set out in Section 2 below unless otherwise specified.
2. Definitions
For the purposes of this Warranty Policy, the following terms shall have the meanings set out below unless the context otherwise requires:
(a) “Product” refers to eligible HONOR-branded devices purchased through official HONOR sales channels within Malaysia, including but not limited to phones, tablets, laptops, wearables, audio products, accessories, and HONOR AIoT CHOICE products.
(b) “Host Device” refers to the primary device purchased by the customer, such as a phone, tablet, wearable device, laptop, or audio device, excluding accessories supplied with the device.
(c) “Accessories” refers to supplementary items provided together with or sold separately from a Host Device, including but not limited to power adapters, charging cables, stylus pens, keyboards, or other supporting components.
(d) “Proof of Purchase” or “POP” refers to a valid document evidencing the purchase of a Product, including but not limited to an original purchase invoice, invoice copy, official receipt, warranty card, or valid e‑commerce transaction record.
(e) “Warranty Period” refers to the period during which the Product is eligible for warranty services as specified in this Warranty Policy, commencing from the applicable warranty start date.
(f) “HONOR Authorized Service Center” refers to an official service facility authorized by HONOR to provide inspection, repair, replacement, and other related services for HONOR Products.
(g) “Manufacturing Date” refers to the date on which the Product was manufactured, which may be determined through the Product's serial number (SN) or other product identification information.
3. Warranty Object and Scope
3.1 Applicable Products
This Warranty Policy applies to the following HONOR Products purchased within Malaysia:
• Phones
• Tablets
• Wearables
• Laptops
• Audio
• Accessories
This Warranty Policy applies only to HONOR Products purchased through official channels within Malaysia and serviced within Malaysia.
3.2 Warranty Services
3.2.1 Replacement Services
3.2.1.1 Replacement Period
Within seven (7) days from the date of purchase (inclusive), where a performance fault arising from a manufacturing defect (hardware functional fault) occurs, customers may request replacement with a Product of the same model and specifications , subject to product availability, or alternatively request in‑warranty repair services.
3.2.1.2 Replacement Guide
(a) Where the Product was purchased from a retail store, customers shall visit a HONOR Authorized Service Center (https://www.honor.com/my/support/service-center/) to submit a replacement request.
(b) Where the Product was purchased from HONOR online store, customers shall follow the applicable replacement application procedures available on the relevant website.
(c) Customers shall ensure that the device, all included accessories, the original packaging, and the original invoice or a copy of the invoice are available prior to submitting a replacement request.
(d) Customers are responsible for backing up all data, software, and programs stored on the Product prior to submitting the Product for repair or replacement. HONOR shall not be responsible for any loss, recovery, or compromise of data during the repair, replacement, or service process.
3.2.2 Maintenance Services
The standard warranty periods applicable to different product categories are set out in the table below:

(a) Within the applicable warranty period commencing from the date of purchase, where a performance fault occurs on the host device and such fault is not caused by human factors or misuse, customers shall be entitled to free maintenance services.
(b) For accessories included with a host device, the warranty commencement date shall follow the purchase date of the host device. Where both the invoice and warranty card for the host device are unavailable, the serial number of the host device shall be used to determine whether the device remains within the applicable warranty period.
(c) For accessories sold independently, the warranty commencement date shall be determined based on the purchase receipt or Proof of Purchase (“POP”). Acceptable forms of POP include an invoice, invoice copy, or product warranty card. Where a POP cannot be provided, the warranty commencement date shall be deemed to be ninety (90) days after the manufacturing date of the Product, as indicated by the device serial number. Customers may verify the warranty status through the HONOR warranty query page at https://www.honor.com/my/support/warranty-query/.
(d) In-warranty repair services are available at HONOR Authorized Service Centers (https://www.honor.com/my/support/service-center/) or through the HONOR Postal Repair service (https://www.honor.com/my/support/postal-repair/).
(e) Customers shall follow the packaging and shipping instructions provided by HONOR when returning Products through postal repair services.
(f) Where a Product or component is repaired or replaced under warranty, the repaired or replacement item shall continue to be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or for the minimum period required by applicable law, whichever is longer.
(g) The time required for inspection, diagnosis, repair, or replacement may vary depending on the Product model, availability of spare parts, and the workload of the service center. HONOR does not guarantee a specific turnaround time for repair or replacement services.
(h) If a Product model or its components are no longer available due to product discontinuation or spare parts unavailability, HONOR reserves the right to provide a replacement product with similar functionality and value as a substitute.
3.2.3 Non-Warranty Scope
The following circumstances shall be excluded from warranty coverage under this Warranty Policy:
(a) Where the warranty period has expired.
(b) Cosmetic damage that does not affect the functionality of the Product, including but not limited to scratches, dents, discoloration, or other surface imperfections resulting from normal use.
(c) Any damage caused during transportation, loading, or unloading in connection with the return, replacement, or repair of the Product.
(d) Any modification, disassembly, or repair performed without prior authorization from HONOR or its authorized service providers.
(e) Any damage resulting from accidental or human actions, including but not limited to liquid ingress, dropping, incorrect voltage input, excessive pressure, or mainboard deformation. This also includes damage such as cracked, broken, or deformed power adapters and damaged or exposed power cables.
(f) Any faults or damage resulting from improper installation, improper use, misuse, neglect, or improper maintenance of the Product, including failure to use or maintain the Product in accordance with the product instructions or user manual.
(g) Counterfeit or non‑genuine products not manufactured by HONOR. This includes situations where the Product model or number indicated on the warranty certificate does not correspond with the physical Product, where the warranty certificate or proof of purchase has been altered, or where the Product nameplate, serial number barcode, or warranty label has been removed, defaced, damaged, or rendered illegible.
(h) Any faults or damage caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to fire, earthquake, flood, lightning, or other natural disasters beyond the reasonable control of HONOR.
(i) For accessories, where valid maintenance vouchers or valid proof of purchase cannot be provided, unless it can otherwise be demonstrated that the Product remains within the applicable warranty period.
(j) Accessories that are not manufactured or supplied by the original manufacturer.
(k) Accessories such as the eject pins, protective films, protective covers, and protective cases that are specified at the time of purchase as not being covered under warranty.
(l) HONOR products provided as complimentary items or free gifts, which shall not be eligible for warranty coverage unless otherwise expressly stated.
(m) Any other circumstances which HONOR reasonably determines to fall outside the scope of warranty coverage under this Warranty Policy.
Customers are advised to refer to the official HONOR website for the most up‑to‑date version of this Warranty Policy, as the terms may be amended, updated, or revised by HONOR from time to time without prior notice.
3.2.4 Maintenance Quality Commitment
Accessories and/or spare parts replaced during out‑of‑warranty repairs shall be covered by a limited warranty period of ninety (90) days, commencing from the date the customer collects the device from the HONOR Authorized Service Center, unless otherwise required by applicable law. This limited warranty applies only to the replaced accessories or spare parts and does not extend or renew the warranty period of the original Product. All replaced parts shall become the property of HONOR and shall not be returned to the customer.
4. HONOR AIoT CHOICE Products
The following terms apply specifically to HONOR AIoT CHOICE Products purchased within Malaysia. For the purpose of this Warranty Policy, “HONOR AIoT CHOICE Products” refer to selected ecosystem products marketed under the HONOR CHOICE branding and distributed through official HONOR channels.
4.1 Warranty Eligibility
(a) The warranty period for each HONOR AIoT CHOICE Product may vary depending on the specific product model. Customers shall refer to the Warranty Eligibility Table set out below to determine the applicable warranty period for each Product.

(b) Only the products listed in the Warranty Eligibility Table above shall be eligible for warranty coverage under this section. Any HONOR CHOICE or AIoT‑related products not listed in the table shall not fall within the warranty coverage scope of HONOR AIoT CHOICE under this Warranty Policy.
(c) HONOR reserves the right to amend, update, or expand the list of eligible HONOR AIoT CHOICE Products and their respective warranty periods from time to time without prior notice.
4.2 Warranty Commencement Date
(a) The warranty period shall commence on the date of purchase as evidenced by a valid Proof of Purchase (“POP”), such as an official purchase invoice or a valid e‑commerce transaction record.
(b) Where a valid Proof of Purchase cannot be provided, the warranty commencement date shall be deemed to be ninety (90) days after the Product's manufacturing date as indicated by the Product serial number (“SN”).
4.3 Maintenance Services
(a) Within the applicable warranty period, where a performance fault occurs due to manufacturing defects and is not caused by misuse, external damage, or other excluded circumstances, customers shall be entitled to in‑warranty maintenance services in accordance with this Warranty Policy.
(b) Service center engineers shall conduct visual inspection and basic functional testing to determine whether the Product qualifies for warranty service.
(c) Where a Product or component is repaired or replaced under warranty, the repaired or replacement item shall continue to be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.
(d) All inspection, repair, or replacement services under this section shall only be performed by HONOR Authorized Service Centers (https://www.honor.com/my/support/service-center/).
(e) Unless otherwise expressly stated in this section, the exclusions applicable to warranty services for HONOR AIoT CHOICE Products shall be the same as those set out in Section 3.2.3 (Non‑Warranty Scope) of this Warranty Policy.
5. HONOR Care Services
5.1 Extended Warranty (Worry-Free Quality Assurance)
(a) Subject to the standard warranty period stipulated under the laws of Malaysia or any additional warranty period provided by HONOR, the warranty service period for the host device may be extended by an additional period of one (1) year (the “Extended Warranty”, also referred to as “Worry‑Free Quality Assurance”). Such Extended Warranty may only be applied once for the same device unless otherwise specified by HONOR.
(b) The validity period of the Extended Warranty shall depend on the specific device purchased by the customer, or the promotional period offered by HONOR as a complimentary benefit (for example, six (6) months or one (1) year). Only selected product models are eligible for the Extended Warranty.
(c) Notwithstanding the foregoing, certain specified products, including but not limited to HONOR Magic V5 and HONOR Magic V6, may be eligible for the purchase of additional Extended Warranty plans, allowing up to two (2) Extended Warranty periods for the host device, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
(d) The exclusions applicable to the Extended Warranty shall be the same as those set out in Section 3.2.3 (Non‑Warranty Scope) of this Warranty Policy.
(e) The Extended Warranty shall be subject to the applicable terms, conditions, and service scope determined by HONOR from time to time.
5.2 Value‑Added Services
(a) The following service plans are provided under the HONOR Care program offered by official HONOR channels (collectively, the “Services”):
i. Screen Protection
ii. Screen Crack Protection
iii. Worry‑Free Crack Protection
iv. Back Cover Protection
v. Battery Replacement
vi. One to One Replacement
vii. Half Price Screen Replacement
viii. Accidental Damage Protection
(b) The Services constitute out‑of‑warranty services are subject to the applicable terms and conditions of the HONOR Care program. Detailed descriptions of the Services, including eligibility, coverage scope, and service conditions, are available at https://www.honor.com/my/support/honor-care/.
(c) Where repair services are provided under the Services, a labor fee may be charged, currently RM60 for non‑foldable devices and RM80 for foldable devices and laptops, excluding any applicable taxes. HONOR reserves the right to revise the applicable labor fees and terms from time to time.
6. General Terms & Conditions
(a) Due to oxidation and normal product usage, certain product materials may experience fading, discoloration, or peeling over time. During service center inspection or device disassembly, minor scratches or surface marks may occur on the back cover. Where peeling areas exceed one (1) cm in size and the Product remains within the applicable warranty period, the back cover may be replaced in accordance with service assessment.
(b) Where Products are shipped to or from HONOR Authorized Service Centers for the purpose of inspection, repair, or replacement, customers shall ensure that the Product is properly packaged in accordance with the instructions provided by HONOR. HONOR shall not be liable for any loss or damage occurring during transportation if such loss or damage results from improper packaging or handling by the customer or third‑party logistics providers arranged by the customer.
(c) HONOR shall not be responsible for any representations, commitments, or promises made by sellers or third parties that are not officially authorized or guaranteed by HONOR.
(d) To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, customers agree to release and discharge HONOR and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives, parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, advertising agencies, promotion agencies, and fulfillment partners from any liabilities, claims, damages, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with the services provided under this Warranty Policy.
(e) Customers consent to HONOR collecting, processing, storing, and using personal data provided by the customer for the purpose of providing services under this Warranty Policy in accordance with applicable personal data protection laws and regulations. Such personal data shall only be processed for lawful purposes directly related to the provision of services, including but not limited to promotional activities, marketing, advertising, and administrative purposes necessary for service management.
(f) By providing personal data, customers confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by HONOR's Privacy Policy available at the following link: https://agreement.itsec.honor.com/asm/agrFile/getHtmlFile?agrNo=1101&country=my&branchId=0&langCode=en-us&version=20220218. Customers further agree that HONOR, its agents, or authorized third‑party service providers may contact them via telephone, email, or other communication methods in connection with the provision of services.
(g) By using the services provided by HONOR, customers agree to be bound by this Warranty Policy and its applicable terms and conditions. HONOR's decisions in relation to service eligibility under this Warranty Policy shall be final and binding, and no correspondence or appeals shall be entertained. HONOR reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this Warranty Policy from time to time.
(h) This Warranty Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia.
