China's smartphone market has gradually become more and more saturated and has generally bid farewell to its recent era of high-speed growth. The current development trend in Chinese smartphone brands is international expansion. It's well known that it can be quite difficult for Chinese brands to gain significant international market share, due to higher thresholds and fiercer competition. But there is one new smartphone model that's been selling like crazy both inside and outside China, and has been getting rave reviews from both users and the media.

That phone is the Honor 7X, which has been called "the flagship of budget smartphones". The Honor 7X has been the most popular model on the Chinese market since its announcement, and with the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) held at the beginning of this year, the Honor 7X phenomenon went worldwide. Shortly afterward, the Honor 7X became a #1 Best Seller in Unlocked Cell Phones on Amazon.com, with a 4.5-star rating. At the time of writing, Amazon was out of stock for it. It's very difficult to overstate what an impressive accomplishment this is.
The Honor 7X has also been winning glowing reviews from across the media spectrum. It was also granted the title of Best Product at CES by a number of media outlets. In particular, renowned tech outlet T3 recently named the Honor 7X as The Best FullView Display Smartphone At This Price, offering astounding performance on a tight budget.
The key reason that the Honor 7X has become so popular around the globe and has received such impressively consistent positive feedback is that it offers an unusually powerful configuration and strong functionality for its price. The Honor 7X features a 18:9 bezel-less screen with a 2160 x 1080 resolution, and sports a dual-lens rear camera, capable of taking wide aperture photos and portraits almost equal in quality to those taken by an SLR camera.

The Honor 7X has also won over its customers through its stunning appearance and exquisite quality. Even though it's a budget model, its metallic unibody has the quality and appearance of a flagship phone. The Honor 7X also offers exceptional physical reliability and quality. At its release event in China, Honor CEO Zhao Ming performed an on-site phone drop test that left the devices perfectly intact, demonstrating the quality of Honor's phones.

For Chinese brands, the key to triumph in 2018 lies in the global market. Honor has already set a goal for itself to become one of the top five global brands in three years. The way to achieve this goal is, and always will be, to use exceptional products to win recognition from sharp-sighted customers. The Honor 7X is an excellent example, and a big step towards Honor's large goals, but Honor needs to present more phones which offer supreme user experience and product quality to win over customers around the world.
