Honor Magic Earbuds are the latest wireless earphones from Honor after the launch of Honor Sport Pro and Honor Flypods Lite last year. Honor Magic Earbuds is an upgraded version of Honor Flypods Lite with cooler functions and designs.
So what makes Honor Magic Earbuds so different from other wireless earphones in the markets?
Here are the key specifications:
Dimensions: 41.8 x 23.7 x 19.8mm (per earbud),
80.7 x 35.4 x 29.2 mm (charging case)
Weight: 5.4g (per earbud), 51g (charging case)
Bluetooth 5.0
Hybrid ANC (Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling)
10mm drivers
Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling

I’m sure most of you out there had been using earphones/headsets all these while, whether you’re doing your studies, watching movies or just listening to music while sitting in the MRT waiting for your station.
However, most earphones don't come with the noise cancelling technology. Thus, the only way to *literally block the noises from the surrounding is only through increasing the volume of the music which in my opinion, it’s really bad for your ears.
With Honor Magic Earbuds’ Hybrid Noise Cancelling technology, it can cancel up to 32dB of unwanted surrounding noise.
From my personal experience, when I put on earbuds, it cancels the noise even before I start playing music. I can hardly hear anything which includes my wife’s nagging… *ops!
On the serious note, the ANC works like a charm whenever I’m in a distracting environment. It really helped me to calm down and focus on the work I’m doing. No kidding!
Adaptive Triple Microphone for Noise-free call

Let’s talk about the mic quality. Lots of earphones that we’re using now come with cheap mic where the sound qualities are total trash. I can hardly record my voice using the normal microphone as there are way too much ambient noise from the surrounding. .
Audio Quality - Loud and Punchy

The most important part for an earphone is always the sound quality. I’ve personally been using a few different headsets over the past couple of years. Ranging from the gaming headset to Honor Sport Pro and now Honor Magic Earbuds. You don’t belittle these little earbuds (weight only a mere 5.4g). It comes with a 10mm driver unit with a highly sensitive diaphragm. The bass is impressively powerful while the treble is accurately clean.
Comfort

Regardless of how good the sound quality is, if you can’t wear it long enough to enjoy the good music, it is never a good earphone. The Magic Earbuds are very comfortable to wear for a sustained period of time. It fits really well into the ear and doesn’t fall off easily.
Ample battery life

According to Honor, the Magic Earbuds can support up to 3 hours of music playback and 12 hours overall usage with the charging case. As for my personal usage, the Magic Earbuds can last for almost 2 days with a single charge and that’s pretty impressive. I guess the low-consumption Bluetooth technology (5.0) really does play an important role in extending the battery life.
The casing can be charge using a Type-C cable and charging time is around 1 hours to full charge.
Secret buttons

I’m sure many of you have no idea about the hidden buttons on the earbuds. Well, I’m one of them when I first get hold of the earbuds. You get to customise the buttons either to “play/pause” or even “next” on a double tap while switching on/off the noise cancelling by doing a long tap on either one of the buttons. All you need to do is to install AI Life into your phone and you shall be able to configure the buttons.

Final Verdict
Honor Magic Earbuds is one of the more budget-friendly wireless earbuds with ANC in the market. With all the hardware + software optimizations, it is undoubtedly one of the best earbuds made by Honor and Huawei.
I’ll just end this post with a comic I made for Honor Magic Earbuds. Enjoy!

#UPDATE! Honor Magic Earbuds are being sold at RM499 RM399 (Promotional price!!!) Head on to HiHonor Malaysia to get one yourself!
