What’s good fellow Honorians!
Today I’ve an exciting new health product from Honor, the Body Scale 2. I just got this in the mail couple of days which is far overdue from it’s supposed date of arrival. Oh well, I guess it’s better late than never aye. One disclaimer though, the unit that I received is a China set so the one that I’m reviewing now might or might not differ from global version. But hey, it’s a weighing scale so yea..
Unboxing the goodies
The packaging is in line with Honor new clean and elegant box (white background on front and back, blue gradient on the sides). The scale need 3x AAA batteries to power up and it’s included in the package. Yay! And there’s also the manual guide but for my unit it’s all in Chinese only. The dimension of the scale is 260mmX260mmX21.5mm, which is very lightweight and smaller compare to its predecessor. The top surface of the scale is covered by tempered glass with ring shaped accent and Honor logo for décor. The measurement is indicated with LED light in white. On the bottom there are 4 rubber pads on the edges to prevent the scale from moving around. Overall, I love the new modern and sleek design.

The connectivity and its functions
There are 2 ways you can go about using this scale, offline or online mode.
For offline, you can simple just step on the scale for about 6-10 seconds and it will measure your weight, body fat rate and heart rate. Heart rate is an additional feature that Honor has added and it’s also one of few smart scales that implement such health attribute.
For online, you’ll need to connect the scale to your phone via Bluetooth and use Huawei Health app. In the Health app, once pair up with the scale it will ask the person to stand on the scale and measurements will take place for about 10 seconds. After that, the app will show 14 indicators of body test. These includes :
body score | body age | body type | weight | BMI | body fat rate | visceral fat grade | skeletal muscle | muscle mass | heart rate | basal metabolic rate | protein | inorganic salts | body water

I would say that’s a huge load of information give out from a smart scale. The screenshots provided here are my own accord and as you can see, my overall test is normal and healthy eventhough the suggested weight can be lower at about 67kg. I’m sorry Body Scale 2, I love foods too much hehe<33< span="">
Furthermore, the online data can store up to 50 different users all through the Health app. The scale also displays 100g fine increment as you can see from the LED light indicate my weight is 73.0kg.
Final verdict
I’m really digging the new Body Scale 2 especially with how much body information it can provide by just simply standing on it for few seconds. Every indicator is being explained clearly in the app which is great for potato headed person like myself. The only flaw for me is probably the narrow dimension of the surface. I’m wearing a 45 size shoes and my feet is exactly reaching the edge of the scale. So the scale might be a bit small for tall person with big feet. It’s priced at RM99 in the market hence I would definitely suggest anyone to get one and stay healthy.
I’m giving the Body Scale 2 a well deserved 9/10
