King in the Budget Smartphone Segment: Redmi Note 5 Pro or HONOR 8X

With screen sizes of over 6 inches becoming the norm in smartphone market, HONOR 8X needs something special to compete against Redmi Note 5 Pro's metal case. HONOR 8X doesn't disappoint. It pulled off a huge surprise with an amazing glass back design with dual tone finish. It has a 6.5-inch full HD display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, and the resolution is 2340x1080 pixels.
Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, seems a little bit ordinary with its 5.99-inch screen and 18:9 aspect ratio. And the resolution is 2180x1080.
Cameras
Widely considered as one of the most important, if not the most important feature in smartphones today, the cameras can certainly be the deal breaker for some people. Redmi Note 5 Pro is relatively conservative in this regard. It has dual cameras of 12MP and 5MP on the back, and a 20MP front camera. HONOR 8X, on the other hand, has a 16MP+2MP combination on the back, and a 16MP front camera. This combination is a killer combination due to the AI enhancements, which have been raised to a whole new level in HONOR 8X. The AI multi-scene recognition is able to identify 22 different categories of objects and 500 scenarios in real time. Long exposure shooting can eliminate inferiority of quality from hand-shaking. Reduced shutter speeds and motion detection can help you produce stunning action shots. In addition, the videos also have a variety of options.
Hardware
While Redmi Note 5 Pro is equipped with Qualcomm 825 octa-core processor, HONOR 8X unveiled Kirin 710 octa-core processor. This is an even match for the contenders. The single-core performance of CPU saw an increase of 75% compared with that of the previous generation. The chipsets are manufactured by advanced 12nm processing technique with 4x2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 and 4x1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 cores. Both models offer 4GB/64GB combinations. And there's a 4GB/128GB option for HONOR 8X.
Battery
Let's take a look at battery now. While Redmi Note 5 Pro has a massive 4000mAh battery, HONOR 8X doesn't lag very far behind with its 3750mAh battery.
