I have been using Honor Magic V2 for a week now and I have to say it is such a pleasant surprise of how well the battery is considering the size of the inner screen. So I did a battery test of both outer and inner screens and see how much different does it actually made. Note that I only did until the 5 hours mark and see how much the battery juice left for both screens. The settings that I am using is as below :
Settings : 60% brightness, 120hz display
So here’s the breakdown of all the apps that I used and how long the apps being active for :
1. Ragnarok Origin – 1 hour
2. Instagram – 30 minutes
3. PUBG – 1 hour
4. Tiktok -30 mins
5. Genshin Impact – 1 hour
6. Youtube – 30 minutes
7. Video recording (1080p 30fps) 30 mins
Total test time – 5 hours
7.92” vs 6.43” inches
I am pleasantly surprise that the inner unfold screen battery life isn’t that much different than the folded screen at all. Below is the result :

From the chart, it clearly shows that unfold screen does a great job in optimizing the battery drainage while it is on social media apps and video display. The biggest different which separate the battery percentage was during gaming of Genshin Impact (and other games as well). This is as expected as the unfold screens fully utilize the entire screen. At the end of the test, here's the battery remaining after the 5 hours mark : Unfold screen - 38% Fold screen - 47%
I hope this article give you an idea of how much different it makes if you use the phone in either of the screens. I personally prefer unfold the screen for more immersive usage of the big screen for sure!
