Most of the people do product reviews by introducing the appearance, durability and exercise tracking functions. Well.... As a wierdo (self-mockery) I am going to tell you how can smart watch assess your stress level; what is the principle behind?; and whether it is reliable?

This is my honor magic watch. As same as magic watch 2, you can find STRESS in your smart watch menu list. At the same time, go to your huawei health app and click on STRESS icon. For the first time user, you have to calibrate it first by make sure there is good contact of your smart watch sensor with your skin and answering few psychological assessment questions.

Subsequently you can monitor your stress level with just simple click on it and follow the instruction given.

So is it actually reliable?
Basically it is using the theordy of HRV measurement- heart rate variability which measure and track your heart rate changes between physical activities.. Whenever someone is having stress, our body will activate sympathetic nervous system and in turn causing increase in heart rate, In that case your HRV will be reduced (imagine when u are running in previous 20 min, suddenly u stop it and proceed with taking lunch. The differences between the heart rate in this case won't show much difference (viability) because your body is still in hyperactive state)
On the other hand, if u are relaxing there, your brain will activate parasympathetic nervous system and causes decrease in heart rate. The viability is huge because when u suddenly proceed with some other activities after a prolonged rest, your brain now has to ask your heart to increase the heart rate in order to meet your body metabolic demands to carry out the activity.
A very good example is some people experience palpitation after waking up from prolonged rest.

So now, you may argue: since the examples which I used here are all non related to psychological stress,, is it even reliable? How can I make it becomes more accurate?
Before answering these questions, let me explain to you, stress can be divided into 2 main types which are physical or biological stress and psychological stress. When you are exercising, your body is in biological stress condition by releasing sress hormones such as adrenaline and noradrenaline. It same goes to when you are having psychological stress.
Thus, how to make the measurement of psychological stress more reliable? ---- you have to stop your physical activities and remove all the possible biological stressors. In simple words, measure it when you are not physically active.
Even though it is not the perfect tool/method to measure your psychological stress. The PERSISTENT high values during monitoring definitely warrant somethings. Make sure, visit a dr to seek for help.
