Finally got my hands on a China variant of the Honor Band 5 and here's a quick unboxing on what you can expect to get in the box. So time to get those ambiguity like does this band comes with a blood oxygen SpO2 sensor or not answered? Read on to find out.
Straight out of the box you’ll be greeted with the fitness band itself. It's off and the only way to power it on to connect it to the charging base. 3 colors are available (Pink, Black & Navy) but sadly only the black variant is available for purchase officially here.
Moving to the charger and cable, the set is bundled with a 5W (5V ~ 1A) charging dock (AF33-1) and a 10-centimetres long USB type-B cable. Interestingly, the supplied charging dock can also be used to charge older gen wearables like the Honor Band 3 & 4.

So time to answer the debatable question on whether the China variant of the tracker is able to measure blood oxygen and the answer is surely yes. Regretfully, the local variant doesn't come with the sensor as confirmed by Support on HiHonor Q&A page
(edit: An update pushed out at the end of September 2019 brought oxygen reading and music control to all Band 5 users. Hooray!)

Lastly to complete the sales package, there’s a Mandarin quick start guide but you can easily find an English manual online from sites like Gearbest and as this unboxing set is a China unit, the warranty card isn’t available but should be in the local retail unit.

P.S. In my opinion, there's no need to spend extra money in getting a TPU protect film (read: screen protector) as mine is still yet to have a single scratch on its display despite it colliding with guardrails and getting it knocked against the wall for a few times already
Hope you guys enjoy this quick unboxing and see ya in the next post!
