Honor Band 5 - Heartrate BUG during cardio

Hi all,
I've been using the band for a few months now and in general it all works well.
HOWEVER recently a strange bug started happening for me and my gf who uses the same watch. All on the latest firmware.
BUG: (see picture)
When I do cardio (~30 mins) I keep the same tempo so my heartrate is almost always around 150-60, for example.
However, when the BUG happens, the band shows that my heartrate drops to 90-100 or some other value and never rises.
I have tested this with the treadmills and they show my heartrate at 160 but at the same time the watch shows 90-100.
Things I tried
- 100% charge
- Keeping the band VERY TIGHT and VERY HIGH up the arm too
What works, as temporary fix
I have discovered that, if i RESTART the band before I start doing cardio, the bug doesnt happen.
Final thoughts
This must be a software issue, because it happens both to me and my gf's bands. We are both on the latest firmware.

The
cardio session is usually at the end of a ~1.5-2 hours workout during
which time the watch is set at Free Training. Maybe that matters?Thanks for your attention and I hope this gets fixed!
