Problem
Fans generate loud noises when watching movies or playing games.
Cause
The gaming computer requires CPU and GPU for a more powerful performance when playing videos or running power-intensive games, thus generating large amounts of heat. In this scenario, the fan will run faster to dissipate heat, resulting in a louder fan.
Solution
Perform the following steps to resolve this issue:
1. In an environment where the air is not circulating, the indoor temperature becomes higher and higher, and the machine temperature increases accordingly. The cold air absorbed by the fan gradually becomes hot air. The fan needs to increase its speed to absorb more air to take away the heat, and the sound will grow louder. In summer, the room temperature is high, the heat is evident in heavy use scenarios, and the fan sound increases. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your computer.
2. Keep the air exhaust vent of the fan away from unnecessary objects to ensure that air can enter and exit. Objects will block the air exhaust vent and result in the fan failing to absorb cold air. The fan needs to increase its speed to absorb more cold air to ensure heat dissipation.
3. The computer features three modes: Silent Mode, Balanced Mode, and Turbo Mode.
HONOR MagicBook 16 Pro and HONOR MagicBook 16 have two modes ：Performance Mode,Balanced Mode.
The fan generates less noise in Silent Mode and you can perform tasks such as working, watching movies, or playing games in this mode. If you are performing these tasks, you are advised to switch to Silent Mode
Fans in Balanced Mode produce moderate sound, while fans in Turbo Mode produce the loudest sound. Balanced Mode fully supports the original image quality of large games, such as PUBG. It is recommended that you switch the fan mode to Balanced Mode in heavy scenarios and clear background apps that you aren't using in advance.
