Today am going to share a useful tutorial on How to add call recording support to the EMUI 9 dialer, if your Honor device running EMUI 9 doesn't have it!

What is Call recording?

Call recording is the ability to record an active call or conference call in a digital audio file format. Call recordings can then be stored for playback later or to generate a transcription. Call recording typically record calls and store the recordings to review for training purposes or to review a call in question.

While there are plenty of call recording apps for Android devices, many smartphone manufacturers are increasingly adding a native feature to help users record call easily, Well If you’re using any other HONOR smartphone running EMUI 9, you can add the call recording feature by installing a simple mod.

To get this working, you neither need to authorize your smartphone with ADB nor root it – just ensure that it runs on at least EMUI 9 based on Android Pie and install the APK just like any other.

Steps to Download & Install the APK:

1) Download the APK file named "HwCallRecorder" from the given Google drive link

2) Install the APK like as usual.

3) That's it, you've successfully installed and enabled the Call recording option on your HONOR device running EMUI 9.

How to Record your call:

1) Tap on the “Record” option during a call

2) Once you Tapped, your call will start recording

3) Once the call is over, you will be notified.

Where to find all your Call Recordings:

Go to Internal Storage -> Sounds -> CallRecord -> Your call recordings listed in "amr" file format

You can play all your Call recording through the Recorder app, just open the app and start playing your recordings at your convenience. The recorded file will contain the number you have dialled and the date of it, where you can rename it at anytime
