Hey Everyone,
Since we have the summer campaign going live, I would like to share the best tips and tricks with you on a weekly base! This week the theme is called “Explore by Day”.
Here are the best tips and tricks to help you capture the best photos during the day and night.
Upside Down
If you want to take a photo of a small object that is on ground level, you can turn your phone upside down and get as close to the ground as possible.

You can also enable the Assistive Grid as a guide to find the middle for your photo.
Watch out for your own shadow
Always check if your own shadow is visible in a shot. It could ruin the shot completely.
The more light you have in a shot, the sharper the details. Not too much light of course.
Here you can see two examples. Which one do you think looks the best?

Golden Hour
You can shoot the most beautiful photos during the “Golden Hour”.
During the summer, the Golden Hour appears extremely early or extremely late during the day.
You can check the Sunrise and Sunset hours in the weather app.

Also, please think about your own health. In summer it can be very hot some days. You don´t want to take photos outside when it´s 30+ degrees at around 2-3 PM.
It´s the hottest time of the day during these hours. If you do want to take photos during these hours, bring yourself some water and seek for shadow even now and then.

Nature and insects
I love insects. I was always pretty obsessed by them. The summer is great to spot the coolest insects.
The best way to have them in your shot is in their natural environment.
A bee at a flower. A damsel fly at a green leave. Of course with a beautiful bokeh background.
Please check out the AF settings in Pro Mode to focus easily on nearby objects

I wish you all good luck and don´t hesitate to share your own Tips and Tricks as well!
We can all learn from each other.
Enjoy!
Joris
