Hey HONOR Fans,
We all know that HONOR has become a well known brand that caters towards the Youth, offering innovative devices that are practical, stylish and perhaps most importantly, affordable.
Since I was in 8th Grade, I was obsessed with Smartphone technology and of course the Price of smartphones as well. Because I was still studying at that time, I only had one shot to buy a perfect Smartphone that not only fulfills my needs but is also budget-friendly.
The internet back then was not very efficient and there were only a handful of Smartphone review websites, YouTube * was close to impossible because of slow internet connectivity.
So there you can see all the struggles that I had to go through. Still, I was able to make a good decision about which Phone to buy with my limited budget.

The purpose of writing this article is to enlighten, in particularly, the youth who are looking to buy their next (or first) Smartphone but are slightly confused about what they should buy and what they should avoid buying. The start of a New Year is always a good time to refresh aspects of your life and having a new smartphone just give you the drive you are looking for in 2021. Follow the upcoming tips before you purchase your next Smartphone:
1. Budget:
First thing first, always know how much you can spend on your next Smartphone, try not to borrow money from a friend or anyone else because otherwise, you might have to sell the phone you purchased later because of non-payment of your debt and therefore you will lose the chance to keep any good Smartphone
2. Narrow down Smartphone Brand Selection:
If you are planning to buy an Android Smartphone, you need to narrow down your Smartphone brand based on the following points:
i) After Sales Services
ii) Customer Support
iii) Cost of Repair
iv) Software Stability
One thing to note here is that it is possible if a particular brand is offering good services in a specific region, but their services might be poor in your region. Therefore, make sure that you verify everything in your region.
3. Prefer Build Quality over Hardware Specifications:
When you narrow down your selection to a certain Smartphone brand, always buy a Smartphone that has a strong build and can withstand a few drops, and can take a few hits. Remember the Nokia 3310? No one talks about its specs, but everyone loves its durability. One of the common mistakes of Youth is that they ignore the build quality and go for the hardware specifications, but they don’t consider the fact that if their Smartphone gets damaged, they will have to pay additional money to get it repaired.
4. Prefer Battery Capacity over Fast Charging:
If you are planning to use your Smartphone for a longer period of time than you should always consider more battery capacity instead of fast charging option because when you charge your Smartphone using a Fast Charger, the Li-ion battery losses its performance due to frequent charging and another reason is that you should also consider the fact that you can’t keep the charger with you at all times.
5. Software:
Imagine buying the Fastest Sports Car in the World but not knowing how to drive a Sports car at all. What will happen? Either you won’t be able to drive the car or you will end up crashing the car.
The same thing happens when you buy a good Smartphone that is being run by buggy software and therefore you won’t be able to utilize the full potential of your Smartphone. Therefore, it is important to buy a Smartphone that comes with stable Software.
6. Performance or Camera Quality:
It’s not wrong to say that we are all born with different capabilities and we have different passions in life. The same thing goes while buying a Smartphone, some people prefer performance because they play lots of games while others are looking for good camera performance because they are more involved in photography. So you’ll have to decide between those 2 as if you are looking to buy a budget-friendly smartphone then you won’t be able to address both performance and Camera results.
7. Don’t rush into buying a newly launched Smartphone:
Another common mistake of Youth is that they go for a Smartphone if they think that it has a good specs sheet. What happens next is that they end up with a device that has good hardware specifications but in reality, a poor overall experience. Therefore, wait a while before you go on buying a newly launched Smartphone. First, watch its reviews on YouTube and social media. When you are sure about it, go and get it.
So there you have it guys, I know most of you are already following these guidelines but in case you were not paying attention to these factors, now you can.
Which one of these is the main driver behind your purchase decisions when it comes to choosing a new smartphone? Let me know in the comments!
