Dear HONOR Community,
In this age of social distancing guidelines and round-the-clock stay-at-home living, safeguarding mental and physical wellbeing, and recognizing the connection between them, has never been more important.
Lest you think that a sedentary lifestyle is inevitably unhealthy, you should take comfort in learning that a body at rest can translate into a mind at peace!
Meditation might have seemed impractical before, when you had to scramble to and from the office, to class, or from one social engagement to another, and could barely find time to tie your shoes. However, the current crisis represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to incorporate beneficial lifestyle practices that you may have been too busy to consider.

In recent years, researchers have uncovered a mountain of evidence to suggest that meditation provides tangible health benefits, ranging from lowered blood pressure to a bolstered immune system.
But let's focus in on what meditation entails in a literal sense, which is, the art of regulating breathing, an automatic bodily reflex that we tend to take for granted.
Breathing is life-sustaining in that it supplies our blood with the oxygen that it needs to power everything we do. Shallow breathing can undermine one's long-term health, as it deprives the blood of sufficient oxygen.
That's where the SpO2 function on the HONOR MagicWatch 2 comes into handy. It provides for on-the-spot blood-oxygen level (SpO2) readings, which can be initiated with a simple tap.
Given the intuitive and non-invasive nature of the feature, you could take an SpO2 reading as often as you like. If you find that your SpO2 value has fallen (ideally above 95%, and below 90% is a cause for concern), you can make the appropriate changes to your diet and lifestyle, along with regular meditation, to correct the course.
So when used in tandem with healthy living practices, the SpO2 reader on the HONOR MagicWatch 2 can do wonders for preventative health!
Take a minute to consider how, or better yet… meditate on it!
Is anyone already a meditation guru or prepared to begin?
