As user of HONOR devices you probably well known to its photographic capability. Photography is a art combination of sophisticated hardware, enhanced user-friendly software, and your knowledge on photography. Honor smartphones has two of those elements on box and you develop the skill needed along with time. For the purpose of this post I used Honor 9X pro.

Honor has many life changing features on its devices in term of photography, nigh mode, portrait mode, Pro mode and so on. Very first thing that I came to notice about honor devices is feature called light painting. Light painting is fabulous set of software features that allows user to capture artistic pictures in single click. If you use traditional DSLR cameras than you know what I meant. In light painting section it has further 4 sub sections. Mostly you will find light painting with in more sections of shot mode on your camera app.

Silky water This is the feature I like it most. Once you positioned your camera you can click the shutter button and the camera will automatically catch and attach multiple shots. By doing this it blends movements or moving subject and creates beautiful long exposure looking image.. to achieve similar effects on DSLR you need lots of adjustment and extra kit such ND filters. Here you just need a steady surface or tripod. I have used a basic tripod mount that cost about £5 in ebay.

Light painting
light painting is another artistic feature of Honor devices. you need to practice this feature in dark or low light. once you set your camera on a tripod or steady surface you click to light painting. i find using timer in this section is beneficial as it reduces camera movement. once camera starts recording you can go to your composed area and write or make art with object light. using multicolored light makes the picture even dramatic. I have found a fabulous picture on Facebook user Mohsin Rasheed. I will link his profile in link bellow. this is a great image with nice composition

Traffic trail
this is perfect to capture fast moving or moving light sources in the dark. it does work as light painting. only it will capture more light than light painting, This feature as its title suggests good to capture trails of light on moving object such as traffic. when working on this feature it is important to consider the overall composition. because of it does capture more light it will have details on backgrounds and foregrounds. so good composition is essential here.
